Never a good time to play Richmond: ButlerSt Kilda forward Dan Butler says there is never a good time to face his old club Richmond, as the two sides prepare to do battle in a mouth-watering Thursday night contest.
Since winning their first of three premierships of a run in 2017, the Tigers have only lost three games in a row once, but face the Saints off the back of two defeats against Sydney and Port Adelaide.
Butler, who kicked 30 goals for Richmond in that flag-winning year, knows all too well how difficult it is to beat the Tigers over four quarters.
“I don’t think there is ever a good time to get the Tigers,” Butler said with a smile.
“I just know they are hunting for a win and so are we, so I think it will be a pretty good battle.”

Ruckman Rowan Marshall remains in doubt for the game after injuring his foot late in the first half against West Coast.
