What will our Win-Loss record be at the Bye?
« on: May 12, 2021, 03:14:59 PM »
Next four weeks before the Bye:

R9 Giants @ Docklands
R10 Brisbane @ Gabba
R11 Adelaide @ MCG
R12 Essendon @ MCG
R13 ---- BYE ------

Richmond Tigers

Are the Tigers finished, or are they going through their usual routine? It’s a question that will remain unanswered until deeper in the season.

In their three premiership years of this era Richmond has been 7-5, 7-6 and 6-4-1 at various points around the halfway mark, and they are looking at being 7-5 or 6-6 at the bye this time around. The Tigers have lost a combined one game in the last six home-and-away rounds of the last four seasons, so they know how to peak.

Like the Eagles, they must record wins while struggling with key injuries and try to strike for a top-four spot as their fixture opens up in the second half of the year.

So what will and does our Win-Loss record need to be at the Bye?

If we can go 3-1 over the next month and hit the bye 7-5 then we will be setup perfectly for the second half of the season with most of our players currently on the injury list expected back after that.

All our injuries are in the midfield, our defence and fwd lines are at full strength so just need the fill in mids to half the contest and try to sneak one of the next 2 games.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if win all 4

But think we will go 3-1

And head into the bye 7-5

We need to be 7 and 5 at the bye. We can get away with 6 and 6.

4 weeks to the bye. 6 weeks to round 14 we get back Bolton, Cotchin, Prestia and Lambert. And most likely Edwards.

Round 14 we play Eagles in Perth with both of us coming off the bye. Can win this
Round 15 v Saints at MCG with Saints coming off the bye. Saints fresh and us off the Perth trip makes it a tough assignment but can win this
Round 16 v Suns at our 2nd home ground. Can win this
Round 17 v Collingwood. Can win this
Round 18 v Brisbane at MCG 50/50 game
Round 19 v Geelong again at MCG for their home game. 50/50 game but we don't  lose to the same team twice in a row do we? Geelong back from Perth the week before v Freo
Round 20 v fremantle in Perth. Freo have played Geelong then flown to NSW to play Sydney. Can win this
Round 21 v North at MCG Should win
Round 22 v GWS in Sydney. GWS have had two tough weeks with Port in Canberra and then Geelong at Geelong. We struggle against GWS in Sydney but they will be softened by the previous two weeks
Round 23 v Hawthorn at MCG should win

So after the bye we can win them all. 8 and 2 gets us top 4 on the back of 7 and 5 before the bye.

I’d say 16-6 defs locks us into top 4 while 15 and 7 would be borderline depending on our % which is avg at the moment.

Key win tonight. If we can win 2 of the next 3 then we'll be 7-5 at the bye and hopefully with our starting back for the 2nd half of the season :pray.
