Can he apply the same assessment over the bombers season......

And just for fun can he do the same with all Richmond vs Essendon matchups from 2015 onwards.....

Most Eagles fans seem to hate us out of jealously for winning 3 of the last 4 flags. So I wouldn't be counting on neutral support for us. Hopefully plenty of WA-based Tiger fans turn up and make plenty of noise  :thumbsup.

Essendon's midfield has stood up in the past couple of months, but is it enough to match the class of Richmond's on-ball brigade?

Ross Lyon and @matthewlloyd18 preview the match ups. #9FootyClassified

These are their midfield match-ups:

Phillips     - Chol

Zaharakis - Graham
McGrath   - Prestia
Cox         - Bolton
Langford  - McIntosh

From the Essendon games I've seen, we need to watch out for:

- Parish in the middle who is their main clearance winner. Graham can 'tag' him.

- Laverde has been their main interceptor and rebounder in defence along with Heppell across half-back. Laverde will need to match-up on either Jack, Dusty or Bolts. Whoever it is just needs to push deep.

- We've coughed up a few soft goals from D50 stoppages this year :facepalm. Hooker continually tries to gain front position and grab the ball out of the ruck to snap at goal as he did against the Eagles. Something our rucks or Balta need to be aware of.

- Tippa has scored 18 goals in their last 6 games. He's a bit of a barometer for them. Keep him quiet and they normally lose. So that job goes to Baker or Floss.

I presume Grimes will get Stringer.

Richmond is bracing for a brutal road trip with strict quarantine conditions.

@TomBrowne7 is with the Tigers in Sydney.

We're not allowed to leave the Perth hotel unless for training and the game itself.

Essendon v Richmond
Kingy says: “I'm going to go with Richmond but I'm very nervous about the Essendon stoppage game.

“I'm not confident about it but I've got too much faith in what they've done.”

Kingy’s pick: Richmond at the line (-10.5).

Sammy says: “I'm going Richmond too. I'm just not sure if they'll win by more than 10.5.

“It might break open a little bit late.”

Sammy’s pick: Richmond at the line (-10.5).

Dan Rioli is the sub again.

There are no late changes for #AFLDonsTigers.

The medical substitutes are Patrick Ambrose for @essendonfc and Daniel Rioli for @Richmond_FC.
