I wouldn’t be against trading some tiddlywinks for ex GWS midfielder Matthew Kennedy.

For some reason he’s out of favour at the blues and can’t buy a game even though from what I’ve seen he’s significantly a better player than Dow, Setterfield and Plowman all put together  :lol
But we all know Carlton are stupid. He’s a body mid that has poise, smarts and doesn’t panic under pressure and he also kicks goals.

Age: 24
Height: 190cm
Weight: 88 kgs
Draft Pick: 13 (2015)
2016–2017 Greater Western Sydney 19 games 9 goals
2018– Carlton 29 games and 23 goals
Total 48 games 30 goals.

I think at our club he would be a better player. Apparently we matched bids when he was drafted.

Maybe I should call the club and ask if they want me to assist them. :shh  :rollin
The club that keeps giving.

i would have been happy to give luke Dunstan a go. Was very keen on Jarrod Lyons at the end of 2018. and boy has he tracked in the right direction for a pure inside mid. I just feel Dunstan was tracking in a similar way before lyon got to Brisbane.

Yes i know Dunstan is widely regarded as a plodder but i think he has slowly improved each year and although just 12 games i thought his season last year pretty good. We need inside help for Prestia clearances and contested ball has always been a bit of a problem for us even when we were winning the flags.
The way the game has gone its become even more important.

If we had got Dunstan, where would the club play him, hbf or Wing I’m guessing

I think these suggestions are fair enough.

The club has been flawless for so long, I must admit I was puzzled that we didn't go in for more midfield depth and experience. Dunston, a Greenwood, a Powell Pepper. Our depth is very very below average. And all it will take aid a few midfield injuries and we will really struggle again. Prestia going down is awfully challenging now.

There were players out there like lipinski ,  George Hewitt , but we didn’t  have cash cause we played blokes like Prestia to sit on the sidelines. Also Hardwick thinks an ageing midfield that tackles 25 times a match is going to take us to the promised land.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Agree Lipinski would have been handy and wouldn’t have cost that much.

Instead we are using Arts as an outside mid.

Our midfield really is cooked. We need some young top-end talent.

I hope Sonsie is good. I don’t hold out much hope for RCD, personally.

I remember suggesting strongly we should get Pat Lipinski as he has skill and good character(know the family) and we would get him cheap but others said he was no good.
It doesn’t matter what I think anyway as we couldn’t  afford anyone and the club have a plan right😁

Lipinski was trade for pick 43.
Finlayson traded for equivalent of about pick 50.
Dunstan for nada.

We should have offloaded some money between Chol, CCJ, Houli, Astbury, shoulda dumped Caddy etc.

I am frankly a little surprised peeps on this forum are suggesting players that we can’t het due to our salary cap squeeze.
There’s no doubting those players would all help but they cost money and have gone to clubs with space in cap.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

All we need is both Lambert & Prestia out & our midfield falls apart. It's our #1 need this off season (along with a key fwd) unless some of our kids can step up.
