Need some mids who can get 30+ weekly
It is no surprise. They play a high possession game. They chip, they retain possession so in nearly all of their games they have higher possession numbers than the opponents.
We lost the game due a complete lack of leadership in the last qtr. Why did Jack not move the ball quickly when Lynch had so much space on his opponent?
But for, me there were 3 more defining game changing moments
1/ in the 3rd with all the momentum we have Aarts on the member's wing thinking he is Dusty or Prestia or Lambert tries to be too cute and causes a turnover. Said it many, many times Aarts has to play to his limitations. Everytime he refuses to do that he costs us...it's just selfish
2/ Pies have an almighty run on and we are up by 3 points. Centre square and Cotch pushes the ball into open space rather pushing it towards congestion. Open space to the Pies advantage and the surge it forward and goal. Pies up by 3
3/ rinse and repeat number and 2 and Pies goal again 9 points up.
Game over.
Now I am not going to condone Chol's non competitive efforts that allowed Grumdy to mark. BUT after it happens I expect to see the Captain or another leader go up to him and talk to him, encourage him. Not one player did... the Captain just jogged back the square and said nothing but at least he slapped Bolton's hand on the way back
During the last 4 years someone would go to a Chol or any player in that situation and say something ..
That's what wrong with our team right now, the care, connection appears to be non existent now the season is spiralling out of control
