Lovett's slip low point
15 May 2006   Herald Sun
Mark Robinson

THE low ebb on the day Essendon arrived at its lowest ebb in 25 years came early in the last quarter when Andrew Lovett slipped in the goalmouth and coughed up the ball.

In front of the lowest crowd at the MCG for a Blues-Bombers clash, Lovett had the chance to make the difference just three points.

But the slip, when he was initially 20m in the clear was clumsy and, as it turned out, match-defining.

As Lovett contemplated how his body couldn't do what his mind had already done – kick the goal – the Blues took the ball the length of the ground where the ever-so assured Marc Murphy made no mistake on his wheeling left foot from 35m.

Have we all got worms ?

Wouldn't know what time zone im in Moisa ???

Time here is 3 pm.......

I actually missed the game.
Went to listen to it on the net and just saw the results.

I was in denial and thought that they mistakenly had put the scores of another game with our name.

Upon realisation, I was merely despondent. :P

What happened to Hall and Kellaway?

Dunno what happened to them, Ox - just didn't turn up.  Doubt they would have made a difference anyway because we weren't getting it out of the middle.
Deja vu Bulldogs game, except we were just as crap then with a pretty full list.
Great game to be flying in the air somewhere and being able to miss it lol
After watching Adelaide in the first quarter cream the Kangaroos 9.2 to 1.1, scary thought what they could do to us this week .
The positives aren't many, but the kids are still having a crack, and Polo did okay holding Williams, Tambling and Foley are getting more of it.
One step forward, one step back - seems to be what is going to happen this year.  But we're getting more games into the kids, and that, to me, is all that matters  :thumbsup
