Why was Gary Lyon allowed to go to perth? How is he different to these blokes that were apparently arrested? Was he working? It seems inconsistent to me

Last year we used a local Queenslander to present the cup.
I know he went 2 weeks earlier and completed his quarantine, I think anyone can do that

WA borders are closed to Victoria unless you get an exemption

G Lyon was allowed in because he got an exemption as part of the media. He like BT, Brayshaw and a few other media folks got exemptions to go and went over a fortnight before the GF and did quarantine

Eddie wasn't given an exemption. He tried claiming he was going as media but when he wanted exemptions for his 2 teenage sons who aren't media he got knocked back

As for the 2 knucklehead Dees supporters it is totally different. They didn't have an exemption. So simply they are not allowed into WA.

The fact that the went to Darwin did a fortnights quarantine there and then went to WA is irrelevant.

Although doing the NT hop that was allowed under QLD rules last year it is not allowed under WA rules. Remember WA has the harshest border rules in the country; even more so during Delta outbreaks. Further to that they have breached Victorian lockdown rules which from what I understand automatically means they are not allowed into WA under any circumstance (stand corrected on that).

The main reason they got caught is because the 2 dills got their photos taken celebrating with the players at every opportunity and one photos ended up on one of the AFL's social media platforms....

Pretty sure I read they spent time in police custody overnight and are facing massive fines up to $50k each :lol

;). It will be a much bigger story and move from those 2 Dees fans if the white man walks free once again…
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

well they are currently locked up which is good

ON the news tonight (what I saw - Ch7) they said the 2 knuckleheads lied on the declarations when they arrived in WA, used fake MT driving license docs and only quarantined for 8 days in NT

WA Chief Police COmmissioner is a tad angry

This is panels worse than what Stack did. How long was Stacked jailed and then forced to stay in WA?
