29 possies, 7 clearances, 600m gained and 2 goals today.

Gladly have Green at Tigerland next year as he clearly suits a need but the price will be possibly too high for a trade if he keeps this form up. We would have to wait instead until he's a free agent.

I would imagine we would have some money in the bank next year
1. Prestia retires
2. Cotchin retires
3. Riewoldt retires
4. Edwards retires
5. Renegotiate Tom Lynch
6. Dusty retires

Only way Green gets to Richmond is if Dusty asks to play in Sydney and we agree and he goes to GWS for Green and a 1st round pick imho.

Yep and Yep (if of course Martin wants to get out of the Melbourne media bubble!!).

And given Martin's resume to date, GWS would have to get a little bit more than that imho!

Martin cant leave cheap. Itll take Green and a 1st rounder to get it done.

That will mean 3 picks inside 20 plus Green. Not a bad haul the loss of Dusty would hurt but if he wants to go to sydney what do you do?

Lol

Dusty will be 31? Won't be a 1st rounder coming back unless it's quite late, if that.

Got to be realistic. His best was 2017 and he has steadily declined since then, despite lifting for grand finals.

Unless Green has some deep love of Richmond due to his family, I don't see him wanting to leave to join a team at the end of its era and in need of a rebuild. We need him more than he needs us.

Tom Green has famous Richmond blood, but his heart is set on western Sydney right now. He grew up a yellow and black fanatic and will always be linked to Punt Road, given his grandfather, Michael Green, played in four premierships and still has close connections to Tigerland.

But despite the trade buzz that will only grow louder next season – if he isn't re-signed beyond 2023 sooner rather than later – Green embraces the speculation, much like they do in the NBA where player movement is far more fluid and controversial.

"The way I view it is if you're getting discussed like that it's only in a positive way because it means other teams want you, other fans want you because you're playing good football," he said.

"I think it sometimes gets forgotten that I am under contract all of this year and next year; people seem to think that I'm out of contract at the end of this year and I'm not sure why.

"There has been some stuff linked to Richmond, and I think that's always potentially going to be the case because of having my grandfather there and being such an avid Richmond supporter when I was growing up.

"I suppose the way I view it is it means you're playing good footy and other teams want you. I'm contracted for this year and next year and I absolutely love being here, which is something not encouraging for Richmond fans to hear, I guess."

I read: Love to go to Richmond as my grandfather played there and I am a big Richmond supporter.

I read: I am contracted for this year and next year and love being at GWS so it will take a big offer to get me to move this year. I am a Richmond supporter so I know this position is not encouraging for Richmond fans at this point but just be patient.
