2022 FREE AGENTS

*Restricted free agent

RICHMOND

Kane Lambert*
Jayden Short*
Ivan Soldo*
Trent Cotchin
Shane Edwards
Jack Riewoldt

Two of Richmond’s premiership stars in Short and Lambert also loom as key names to keep an eye on, while veterans Riewoldt, Trent Cotchin and Shane Edwards will be unrestricted free agents.

We know the Tigers’ salary cap is tight, and should the club have another disappointing season, could Short or Lambert look to move elsewhere?

Let's finally get Buddy.... :clapping :gotigers

But seriously out of that lot I'd consider...De Goey, Moore, Heeney, Shuey, Dale, Daniel.... :shh

Would love Touk-Miller too but he ain't leaving GC... so yeah basically the best & most expensive ones we probably wouldn't get or couldn't afford.... :shh :shh

Didn’t Soldo recently sign a three year contract extension? Or did I dream that.

He sure did, 17th September, signed for 3 years

Would let Short go. Riewoldt Edwards and Cotchin could all retire at the end of 2022.

No tall fwds there apart from Buddy and Gunston makes taking a Key forward in the draft even more important.

Don't think we have much to worry about. Can't see Lambert going. We gave him a shot when nobody would and has won 3 flags. I'd be confident he'd be a tiger for life.

3 older guys aren't going anywhere. Soldo resigned and leaves Short only. Can't see him going either.

I rate short but he is exactly the type of player you would trade because he has value. I do want to keep him but if he goes I wouldn’t cry either.

Cannot see either Short or Lambert leaving

Especially when I see one of them being one of the vice captains in 2022  ;D

Unless selfishness & unaccountably are now requirements for leadership it shouldn't be Short.... :shh

Either way I feel like we already hit the jackpot with Short. When he’s on he’s absolutely on and we got him in the rookie draft. He’s already exceeded my expectations and doesn’t owe me anything. If he went the Brandon Ellis path would be upset. My gut tell me he would want to stay now that bachar has hung up the boots.
