Getting killed out of the middle and dropped off our pressure in that early that quarter.

Conti Seymour and Lavey ok not many helpers though.

They Dees move the ball real well and had the umps on side with every tiggy touchwood free kick  :banghead

We can’t let our pressure slip against this mob.

I wish McKenzie was playing.

2nd quarter stats:

Clearances:  9 - 3
Inside 50s:  9 - 3
Frees:         7 - 1

That quarter was something out of first year and a half. Uncompetitive.

Our structures both offensively and defensively completely disappeared.

We look burnt out from the first quarter and from the 32 degree heat. Too many Tigers jogging on the spot. No run whatsoever supporting each other and getting numbers to the contest.  Melbourne players left free everywhere able to do whatever they please.

ps. I did love how the commentators excused the one-sided umpiring because Melbourne was dominating that quarter. They ignored that we pretty much dominated the first quarter of general play yet Melbourne were kept in the game at quarter time because HTBs weren't being paid to us and Melb still got more frees than us.

Weve got hammered by the umpires from 10 minutes into the first quarter. Blatant holding the ball calls not paid against Melbourne, all of ours we got pinged. Its pretty shameful really.

Leading ball getters:

Conti    14
Seymour 8
Lavey     7

Everyone else 5 or less.

Melbourne have 9 players with more than 5 possies and 4 in double figures with another two with 9. They are working harder as a team. We have too many passengers.

Team stats:

Disposals:      92 - 136 ..... ( contested: 46 - 57 )
Clearances:     8 - 15
Inside 50s:    11 - 15
Marks in50:     3 - 7
Tackles:         30 - 20
Hitouts:           6 - 15
Frees:             9 - 14

And the double standards in the umpiring once again. Lynch (rightly) pinged yet 15 secs earlier Paxman drops the ball and it's called play on.

They are very good team the Dees. Great skills and ball movement.
