Richo the best contested mark I’ve seen.
But for safest probably Royce

Richo, hands down.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Richo.

Grimes one of the best in our current team.

Actually thought Rance was very good in the second half of his career.

Other guys from my lifetime...I think A Kellaway had decent hands. Deledio was good too.

True that, slight stretch for me as an '88 kid but I do remember his last year's a bit.

Benny Gale?
He's not in the same stratosphere as Richo/Royce etc

Funny thing about Richo is that you wouldn't fins a safer contested mark but he could easily drop a sitter chest mark.

I don't mind the Lids call....pound for pound the best all-round mark I saw

By default Richo but also I want to bring up martin for making defenders poo themselves (was it Darcy Byrne jones in 2020?) when the ball is coming in hot and it’s 1vs1 with dusty

I thought Darren Gasper had a very safe and reliable pair of hands

Ditto Francis Bourke in his prime

Aside from Richo I always thought Ottens was dependable. Gale at the end of his career was a fantastic mark. Grimes should be held in high regards.
