Were the only team with players that all have 4 weeks off with any hamstring injury not the normal 21 days.

 Tom Lynch    Hamstring    Test
 Dustin Martin    Illness    Test

Updated: June 14, 2022

Early prognosis
Lynch is a strong chance to make his return this week against Carlton. The Thursday night game is more likely to hinder Martin, who is battling – in coach Damien Hardwick's words – "a bit of a lurgy" – Sarah Black

 Dustin Martin    Illness    Test
 Robbie Tarrant    Hand    Test
 Trent Cotchin    Clavicle    1-3 weeks
 Noah Balta    Hamstring    2-4 weeks

Updated: June 21, 2022

Early prognosis
Martin is highly likely to play against Geelong, having been training since Saturday following an illness. Tarrant, meanwhile, is touch-and-go, given he had minor hand surgery at the start of the week. Cotchin will have a plate inserted to support his collarbone, with a more accurate timeline to be set after that operation, while Balta has re-injured his hamstring but in a different spot. – Sarah Black

Pilot Medical Update: Round 16, 2022

Peter Burge's injury update:

Dion Prestia, concussion - See Prestia thread.

Trent Cotchin, clavicle

"Trent had a plate put into where the crack was in his clavicle to reinforce it. Now, there's just a period of time for that to heal and the bone to heal. So, we're really under the surgeon's instructions with this. He's probably going to miss a couple more weeks. As to exactly what his return game will be, we're not too sure at this stage, he certainly isn't playing this week or next week. But, he is back doing some non-contact training, he can actually run and move quite well and he feels pretty comfortable. He's actually going to get a good little block of training in and it's really down to the surgeon and our doctor as to when it's safe for him to play again, but it gives us a good opportunity in the meantime to tune him up a bit and get him ready for the final stages of the season."

Kane Lambert, hip

"It's a week-to-week proposition with Kane with his chronic long-term hip injury... He didn't play last week but he did do our main training session. We're leaving it in Kane's hands to flag with us if he thinks a full game is possible, and last week he just didn't think he was quite ready to go. This week, he's feeling a little bit better, he did a little bit of training today and he'll do our main session on Thursday this week, and then we'll make a decision for his availability on Sunday, keeping in mind that the game the following week is six days later."

Noah Balta, hamstring

"Noah's progressing through his hamstring rehab. Today, he ran at a really good speed, probably about 90 per cent. We've introduced some ground balls and the various football actions where he got injured in the game. That's what we try to do, replicate the type of injury and how it was caused. Hitting top speed and his football actions are what we're working on at the moment, so he'll be in a pretty strong position by the weekend and then we have to make a decision next week as to how this looks into the Gold Coast game or the North Melbourne game the week after that. I would say the North Melbourne game is the most realistic."

Need Cotch and Balta out there and whatever game Lambert can play every second week is a bonus.

As far as numbers go we have had a good run with injuries the last 6 or 7 weeks.
