An extended squad of 31 has been named for the Round 1 VFL game, with the starting 22 to be confirmed following Richmond's AFL team announcement at 5.00pm on Friday.

AFL-listed Tigers Jake Aarts, Ivan Soldo, Maurice Rioli Jnr, Rhyan Mansell, Thomson Dow, Hugo Ralphsmith and Matt Parker all feature in the VFL squad, but were also named in Thursday night's AFL squad.

Four Richmond 2021 draftees in Tyler Sonsie, Judson Clarke, Sam Banks and Tom Brown have also been included in the VFL squad, for what would be their first official outings in the Yellow and Black.

Five VFL-listed Tigers are in line to make their debuts; Misilifi Faimalo, Mykelti Lefau, Tylar Young, Jackson Davies and Massimo D’ambrosio.

Need some mids to step up now. I’ll be having a close look at RCD to see how he goes against a non AFL team and assess how serious he is to play Senior footy. Hope he can prove me wrong

So Stack shows ability as both a back and a forward but lacks endurance so we play him on a wing?  No wonder we are going so badly

Kingsley said today they are going to play Stack in a variety of positions so he can be a versatile weapon for us once he gets the conditioning he needs. They think he is capable of playing anywhere

Kingsley has nfi. That is obvious.

How stack isn’t a better proposition than the usual pretenders in the seniors is beyond me.

Another slow plodder in Martyn also named on the wing wtf are they thinking.Stack has been named at h/f.

Ralphsmith should be on the wing how many freakin h/b do we need to develop.

What ever happened to the mantra of play em to their strengths in their best positions.
People wonder why the kids dont develop.
