- He would've hardly got a game if the dissent rule existed in his time  ;D.  Best way for the umpires to earn respect is to umpire well. We're making it too difficult for the umpires. Umpires should enhance the game; not impose themselves on it. Doesn't believe moving your arm and copping 50m gifting a team a goal is what our game is all about.

- Still confident we can turn things around if we get a run at it (i.e. few injuries) and build up some momentum. The players still have a high expectation and believe they are good enough.

- Gibcus is very athletic, beautiful balance and does things right. Just suffers from the usual first year issues. So he's not as strong as he will be in the coming years. Very exciting. Very pleased with him.

- Sonsie is not far away from getting a senior game in his opinion. These first year players are babies and there's experiences they have got to learn. Sometimes giving them a couple of extra VFL games gives them the confidence when they get to the highest level. We think he is a very talented player.
