* Prefer Saturday arvo but I don't mind that we do play [Thursday night]. Our blokes don't mind it.

* However, playing a VFL game tonight "IS mad". Curtain-raisers worked for a long time but do understand scheduling is more difficult now days.

* Optimistic about where we are at. We haven't played as well as we would've like when it matters. Our stats guy showed very good numbers for the first half of the season. In front at 3/4 time in most games and in front for more than 50% of the time. We just haven't finished off our work. We've just got work on this and our system to get this right. We still believe we've got the means to make an impact this season.

* Warner's non-50? We weren't that fussed about it. We didn't make a complaint. If you cut it up and go by the law it should've been 50 but we don't believe it should be.

* Dusty? Proud we're a club that would consider the player's wishes but in Dusty's case he hasn't come to us saying he wants to go to Sydney.

*  We're in good shape. Lynch was close to playing this week but we took the long term view. Lambert is a long-term issue that needs to be manageable. He'll be close to playing this week.

* Grimes 200? Almost too good to be true. Works so hard and contributes to others as well so he's now one of our co-captains. He can play on quick nippy smalls or talls like Buddy.

* Kingsley future head coach? Yes, he's got a lot to offer.
