Soldo was heaps worse than Hugo. Soldo was made to look reserves standard by a non ruck in Finlayson - Silvagni will be their second ruck and I reckon KMac would maul him if they don’t want to use Balta.
Port played out 2 rucks beautifully last week and the Blues won’t be allowed to let lightning strike twice.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I like the team.

Maybe MRJ as sub. Needs fitness but should be able to go full throttle for the last 1.5 quarters when someone else gets a 'corky'

Missed a small crumber/pressure forward all night. We had enough entries but if no one took a mark the Blues won it and bounced out of our D50. Maurice coming on late finally gave us someone who pressured the Carlton rebounders.

Don't really understand why he was dropped in the first place.

The little cameo performance from Maurice in the last quarter was exactly what we needed!  2 score involvements (or was it 3?) in a tight game was pretty welcome.  Lots of pressure too, forced a critical turnover.
