Robbie Williams to do the 2022 Grand Final entertainment (HSun/Fox)

The AFL is reportedly in discussions with UK pop megastar Robbie Williams for its 2022 Grand Final entertainment, reports The Herald Sun.

Although nothing is yet official, the reports states the league has held talks with Williams on a multimillion-dollar deal for either its pre-game or halftime show for the September 24 showpiece event as the decider returns to the MCG.

Securing the 48-year old would be a massive coup for the AFL, with Williams one of the world’s most popular performers.

Usually the GF pre-game entertainment is pretty lousy given it is daytime but you've got to give Robbie Williams credit. That was one of the best pre-games on GF day. Second only to the Killers in 2017 IMO.
