Tom Browne on 7news saying no Dusty this week which is what we already knew.

The RFC website has Nank listed as doubtful along with Ross who is unlikely to return from a medial he did at training last week.

Burge said Balta and Cotch could play this week if both get through training. Cotch also needs the okay from the specialist which they believe he will get.

Lots dont want to see hide nor hair of Ryan and i don't get it.

Play him and Nankervis if Nankervis is right. Even if right with his sore knee he will need a decent chop out.

Would still go something like this

FB: Vlastuin# - Tarrant - Grimes
HB: Broad - Miller - Rioli.

C: Pickett - RC-D# - Ralphsmith
R: Nankervis - Cotchin# - Prestia

HF: Sonsie# - Balta# - Bolton
FF: Ryan# - Riewoldt - M Rioli

INT: Baker - McIntosh - Short - Graham - Gibcus#.

Out would go
Lynch inj
Soldo omit/inj
Edwards omit
Castagna omit never to be seen again
Aarts omit
Dow omit not up to it yet
Cumberland

In
Balta
Ryan
Gibcus
RC-D
Cotchin
Sonsie

Hmm changed.

Stack is not an option

Will miss a number of weeks with a cheekbone fracture. They couldn't perform surgery on it so it needs to heal naturally.  They are saying at least another 2-3 weeks
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

Ryan is taller and physically heavier than Xerri though less physically developed. NM started putting games into Xerri at around the stage Ryan is at now.Give him a go against the second stringer and lets see where he is at.From what i can gather Ryan is developing and it cannot hurt at this stage to get some games into him.

Play him and Nankervis if Nankervis is right. Even if right with his sore knee he will need a decent chop out.

Agree with most of that - what did you think of Cumberland though? I'm annoyed he only managed 2.3 from 5 shots, but at least he found the pill near the sticks and looked a damned sight more likely than George or Aarts.

I'd be giving him another go personally.

Team Tips:

Richmond will need to rethink its ruck setup for the clash with North Melbourne.

Toby Nankervis (knee) is in a race to prove his fitness while Ivan Soldo (thumb) and Tom Lynch (hamstring) have been ruled out through injury. Marlion Pickett could provide a back up ruck option if the Tigers didn’t want to go with another tall.

Noah Balta, Trent Cotchin and Josh Gibcus could all return from injury/illness.

Noah Cumberland could also be promoted to the starting side, after playing as the medi sub in the loss to the Gold Coast.

Vlastuin coming back through twos after suspension fox?  ::)
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I was being sarcastic as fox sports forgot to mention it

In the Mix: Round 18

Howard Kimber
afl.com.au
13 July 2022

The Tigers had injuries added to insult from the round 17 loss, with Tom Lynch (hamstring), Ivan Soldo (thumb) and Toby Nankervis (knee) all on the sidelines as the Suns stormed home. Nankervis is a chance to face North Melbourne but the other two will miss.

Nick Vlastuin and Josh Gibcus will return to bolster the backline, with Ben Miller the most likely to make way.

Trent Cotchin and Noah Balta are also expected to be available, putting last-man-in Thomson Dow in the gun.

Last round's medical sub Noah Cumberland made the most of his opportunities, putting pressure on the small forwards.

Maurice Rioli jnr is averaging just five disposals and 1.5 tackles through the last month, while Jason Castagna or Jake Aarts could pay the price for costly final-quarter misses.

Verdict: Vlastuin, Cotchin, Balta, Gibcus come in with Cumberland moving into the starting 22, replacing Lynch, Soldo, Miller, Dow and Castagna
