According to Dimma today:

Cotch got the all clear from the doc. So he'll train today and be available.

Floss back from suspension obviously.

Balta to play forward. Dimma said we see him primarily as a defender but given Noah gives us the flexibility of playing him back, mid or forward and us being skinny up the front end at the moment, he'll play "out of position".

Nank a chance. We'll see how he goes at training today. We've got to weigh up the benefits of playing him this week versus waiting until next.

Soldo to miss a week with is thumb.

Dusty - we're reasonably confident he'll push for next week but he's still in the doubtful category. We thought it was on the relative minor scale but it hasn't responded to the level we would like. That's not to say he won't play next week but being an important player we'll likely err on the conservative side.

As mentioned in the Ryan thread, Samson likely to play from what Dimma said today.

Hmm changed.

Agree with most of that - what did you think of Cumberland though? I'm annoyed he only managed 2.3 from 5 shots, but at least he found the pill near the sticks and looked a damned sight more likely than George or Aarts.

I'd be giving him another go personally.
Never been a fan of two small fwds who play nowhere else. Think Cumberland while he did get a bit of ball in good spots is like Castagna with his disposal not as bad of course.
For me it comes down to either Maurice or Cumberland and while im worried about juniors offensive output id like to see him get one more week.

Have basically named Sonsie to give us a bit of rotation thru the middle and some genuine class and ball use up fwd.

With Edwards there who won't get dropped no matter how poor he goes Bolton, Junior, with Graham and Baker able to perform the small role as well  i just don't see a reason why we have to play another  dedicated small fwd. In doing so we we limit our options and become too small imo.

What i wouldnt give for us to discover a small/medium fwd who has pace great skills a good goal sense who tackles well who can go thru the middle if need be.

If Castagna and Aarts are in the team I will be disgusted but also not surprised unfortunately

As per Sonsie thread - he's in for his debut.

Nice scoop WP  :cheers. Hopefully Nank gets through the game okay  :pray.

Interesting to see if Ryan comes in for Soldo or we roll Balta as 2nd ruck?

Does Gibcus come back in for Miller to give us more flexibility in we need to switch Balta back and Gibcus forward?

Could be up to six changes to maintain our same structure (?).

In: Sonsie, Cotch, Balta, Ryan, Floss, Gibcus.

Out: Aarts, Castagna, Lynch (inj), Soldo (inj), Dow, Miller.

Bolton moves forward and Baker goes into the midfield.

B:     Gibcus      Tarrant        Vlastuin
HB:   D.Rioli       Grimes       Broad
C:     Pickett      Cotchin       McIntosh
HF:   Bolton        Balta         Sonsie
F:     M.Rioli      Riewoldt      Edwards
R:  Nankervis     Prestia       Baker
Int: Ryan   Graham   Short   Ralphsmith
Sub: Cumberland
