The Dockers one wood is their contested footy in the midfield. Dominate that they win; get matched or lose and they lose. So IMO we need to bolster our midfield rotation. They play a taller forward line and will try to stretch us down back so Balta has to play back. For structural reasons, I would also bring back Maurice simply for his forward ground level pressure. As for Sheds, he's been a champion but if he is to get to 300 then it has to be as the sub as he can give us something in short bursts now.

In:  Soldo, Ross, RCD, M.Rioli.

Out: Edwards, Gibcus (inj), Miller, Ralphsmith, Aarts (sub).

I don’t mind Ralphsmith but he is purely an outside player atm of which we have plenty ahead of him. We didn’t have a pure small forward last week and the kangas of all teams were waltzing out of D50 as easy as you like. MRJ didn’t have a good game at vfl level but he is our no.1 pressure player by far. Also stack was in ripping form before the cheekbone fracture so would like to see him come in too to play a similar role.

For mine, if Miller stays then either Soldo doesn't come in and Balta plays 2nd ruck or Soldo comes in and we play one less mid (RCD doesn't come in). I prefer Balta down back though and especially if Lobb is out then I don't see the need for Miller.

However, Dimma and the MC will probably keep playing Balta forward :-\ with no Lynch so Miller will probably keep his spot (especially if Gibcus is out).

Bring in Banks and Brown. Give the kids a taste against a decent opposition.

Cannot believe at the very least RC-D has not been picked. Are they blind down there we keep on getting belted at contested ball clearances and lack big bodies in the midfield. Lately RC-D addresses all these things.
Not sure what is wrong with Ross either but his bigger body would not go astray and in fairness to him he was finding some form before injury.

Lets not mention tackling eh we apparently are doing alright in this. Even dimwit should be able to see just how easy the opposition are offloading  when we tackle.

Not a fan of any player getting a game who only provide pressure, afl players just have to provide more than that. But fmd every single supporter can see we need someone who can put their defensive runners under the pump Would have thought after last week it would have been one of the first things looked at and Maurice junior would get the nod.

Soldo well have never really been a fan but this week i think he is needed against big Darcy.

Have always felt all sides need two genuine key forwards and to compliment them either an agile quicker  third tall type or a big ruck/fwd depending on the opposition.
This week id have no problems with Nankervis spending more time fwd along with Riewoldt and one of Miller or Balta i think we compliment the three talls with Cumberland,Bolton, Rioli and would even have rotated RC-D thru there given his height and size.

I think we are in denial we are not acknowledging shortcomings on the list and we certainly have the head in the sand when it comes to areas we are getting beaten up in. I also think we are finding it impossible to make calls on blokes who have shared in the success and  who are clearly favorites.
