The LIONS will be without veteran Daniel Rich for their Round 20 clash with Richmond.

Rich copped an accidental knee to his head as he tried to gather a loose ball.

The incident happened late in the win over the Gold Coast Suns.

Rich was clearly groggy as he attempted to sit up.

He will miss at least the next 12 days under the AFL’s concussion protocols.

If we don't get up big time for Sugar & Lambo we got a problem but think we will.

Brisbane has lost its past 10 matches at the M.C.G. It's last win was in 2014.

Coming down to Melb this weekend with the kids (26 and 22) in tow as my dad passed away and his funeral is on Monday.  Got GA tickets - where's the best GA place and advice as to what time to get the best seats?

Condolences Julz, please take care

Most top level seats are usually GA.

But both the Southern and Ponsford usually have some GA seating on level 1 but it's not normally announced until Friday arvo

Doubt there will be a huge crowd. For level 1, I'd suggest getting there no later than 2.15pm (hour before)

All the footy shows last night were winding up Brisbane to win at the 'G or kiss their flag chances goodbye.

"They [Brisbane] don't win this game, they can't win the premiership."

Matthew Lloyd puts the heat on the Lions ahead of their clash with the Tigers.

Lloyd and Ross Lyon's match preview: https://twitter.com/FootyonNine/status/1552270097846239233

Both sides are top 3 for scores for but mediocre in terms of scores against:
                               Rich               Bris
Avg Pts For            93   #3         100   #1
Avg Pts Against      82   #10         79   #8

They also said that we are too dependent on Prestia and Cotch in the midfield as illustrated by our mids' disposal stats and how badly it falls away.

Tiger Mids Disposals
Prestia   30
Cotchin  23
Edwards 15
Short     15
Graham  11

Lyon said Brisbane should win based on the stats but he tipped us at the 'G given Brisbane's record there.
Lloyd is tipping the Lions.

Mini-me coming down from Canberra and my son from Syd. Last time we all got to go to a game together was 2019.

Richmond v Brisbane Preview

Nic Negrepontis
SEN
28 July 2022

Richmond and Brisbane meet in an intriguing game difficult to marry up form wise.

The Tigers are desperate for four points after blowing a 40-point lead to Gold Coast, kicking themselves out of the North Melbourne game and somehow emerging with a draw against Fremantle, despite multiple chances to kick the winning point.

This sees them outside the top eight and looking likely to stay there, unless they can win their last four games.

That starts against Brisbane here, a Lions team that has emerged from a COVID headache and now has started to put some form together.

They were neck and neck with Gold Coast for most of last weekend, but pushed away in the last quarter to record an impressive win.

These two sides know each other inside out. They have met in two Qualifying Finals since 2019. Due to COVID circumstances, their last five encounters have been in Queensland.

This one takes place at the MCG however, which you think would give Richmond an edge.

On form, you’d have to tip the Lions. The Tigers are missing too many key players and would have to be feeling the pinch after an incredibly tough three weeks.

However, at the MCG, with everything on the line, these are the kinds of games Richmond at their best can absolutely pull off.

Tip: Richmond by 8 points.
