It doesn't.

Terrible call. Umpire called it a goal.

No stuffing way was that footage in any way conclusive

My thoughts exactly.  Goal umpire called it a goal & no video could prove him wrong, so why was it overturned?

I had a feeling we would lose this game. People can’t mistake it for what it is, we are obviously transitioning. The experience for sonesie, gibcus, Rioli, Cumberland, ross is priceless. They all had their moments good and bad. Move onto next year folks ! Lots to be excited about. And I dare say we farewell a few more immortals

Laughable ARC decision that is sackable as it simply decided the result.

I'd strip Nank of captaincy based off tonight. Shocking display vs no ruckman and failed to kill the ball at the end and cost us the game.

That's all true but Lynch's reaction wasn't that he thought he kicked it.

We had enough chances to kick the sealer in the last 5 minutes and blew every one.

Lynch 45 out almost directly in front misses.
Pickett sprays it for no score and we had no one 20 out to contest.
Miller plays on quickly 55 out and grubbers his kick rather than going back and settling.
Baker from 50 sprays it OOTF.
Lynch's "over the post".

I'm not even counting the fumbling and defensive errors.

Then we gift them a goal and the lead with a minute to go because we couldn't execute a simple schoolboy rushed behind.

Then we kick it around defence with 20 seconds left rather than going straight down the guts.

Schoolboy errors stuffed up our top 4 chances, almost cost us a finals spot and now cost us a final and our year.

Honestly not that upset, our younger players really cost us tonight but they'll be better next year

Umpires as they have all year really cost us blatantly including the goal decision late. 

If I was Hardwick I'd pay the $50k fine and unload on the afl and the umpiring

I’m gutted we blew it, and we did blow it. Lynchy could have kicked that goal and we should have killed that ball on the line… But, we have found some ripping kids who will be great for us if they do the work.

Agreed. I don’t see anything from our season that shouts we are a contender. Our best performance was against the cats and we lost ! We blew so many close games. I’m excited for next year and also what unfolds over this off season.
