Finals Ticket FAQs

I am a 2022 Richmond Football Club member. Do I need to purchase a ticket to attend finals?
Yes. All 2022 Richmond Football Club members will need to purchase a ticket to attend Week 1-3 Finals, that Richmond participates in. Club members with an access membership will be eligible for priority access to purchase weeks 1-3 Finals tickets, should they wish to attend.

How do I know if I hold an access membership?
Access memberships include Tiger Insiders, Interstate/Country, Auskick, AMF, Tiger Conservation, Access Home and Home and Away, Roaming Tiger and all reserved seat and reserved bay memberships.

Non-access memberships include Baby Tiger, Tiger Toddler, Richmond Rookies, Digital and Tiger Supporter. If you hold one of these memberships, you will be ineligible to purchase a ticket in the member priority period, and you will need to purchase through the general public on-sale.

When can I purchase tickets?
On-sale dates and times will be staggered in Week 1-3 of the AFL Finals series and will be dependent on when the Richmond game is scheduled.
Match details for week 1 of finals, including specific on-sale times will be confirmed and communicated to members via email on Monday, August 22.

Eligible Club members will receive all finals related communication via email. If you need to update or change your existing email address, please contact the Richmond Membership Team (1300 742 466) or via membership@richmondfc.com.au

I'm a competing club member. Do I still need to purchase a ticket for the finals?
Yes, all eligible club members will need to purchase tickets should you wish to attend.  As a member of a club participating in the finals you will receive priority access to purchase tickets before the general public for games in which your club competes. Please check with your club should you have any queries about your entitlements.

I am not a club member. When can I purchase tickets?
Remaining tickets not sold during the member priority period will be made available to the general public to purchase. The date & time for each on-sale will be communicated following the confirmation of match details at the completion of the previous week's games. All up-to-date finals ticketing information and links to buy tickets for all matches will be available at once confirmed.

There is no guarantee that Finals tickets to Weeks 1-3 will still be available for the General Public as tickets may sell out during the member priority on-sale. Should this occur, this will be communicated across Club channels.

How many tickets can I purchase?
The transaction limit may vary depending on the match and venue. Transaction will be confirmed as part of the on sale information. All up-to-date finals ticketing information and links to buy tickets for all matches will be available at once confirmed.

Where can I buy tickets?
All ticketing for the 2022 Toyota AFL Finals Series is managed by the AFL and specific ticketing agency (either Ticketek or Ticketmaster). The ticketing agent is determined by the match venue and will be communicated to all eligible members prior.

To purchase tickets via Ticketek or Ticketmaster, you will need to set up an account. We suggest creating this account prior to tickets going on-sale and keeping these details handy to prevent any issues. If you have made a purchase through either of these ticketing agencies before, you will already have an account. We recommend writing these login details down and keeping them handy.

To buy ticket/s, you will need to enter your 12-digit membership barcode number which will be emailed to you. You may also purchase tickets for other eligible Club members, such as family and friends, who you may wish to sit with. Note the transaction limit is 10.

When using Ticketek, enter each barcode on a separate line (as per the image below) within the box provided. The system will not accept barcodes that are written alongside each other or separated by a space or comma.

Where can I buy Accessible Seating tickets?
Wheelchair and carer tickets will be charged the applicable price category of the bay it is positioned in. In some circumstances the AFL and the Venue may adjust some of these to ensure there are wheelchair and carer positions available in every price category.

Can I sit with a competing Club member?
Access to sit with opposing Club members will be determined by the AFL and is dependent on competing teams and venue capacities. This will be communicated accordingly.

How much do Finals tickets cost?
The AFL has announced a price freeze on all tickets for all matches at all venues across Weeks 1 to 3 of the 2022 Toyota AFL Finals Series.

Ticket prices for Weeks 1 and 2 have been frozen since 2019, with Week 3 frozen at 2021 prices.
In Weeks 1 and 2, for any final hosted in Victoria, all tickets are frozen at 2019 prices, the last time AFL Finals were played in the state.
The entry level reserved seat category for Weeks 1 and 2 remains at $35, Week Three at $65 – the same prices as 2016.

Where will our seating be for weeks 1, 2 & 3 of the Finals?
The AFL distributes an equal number of tickets within each reserved seat category, along with restricted/standing room tickets (if applicable) to members of both competing Clubs for each Final.

Members will be able to purchase based on their preferred price category for the Week 1-3 of Finals. Due to the high demand for tickets, all ticket agents are advised to sell ‘next best available’ to make the allocation process fast and convenient for purchasers. Please note, members will not be able to sit in their usual reserved seats during the final’s series.

How are tickets sold?
Tickets are sold on a first in, next best available basis and are subject to availability.  You will be able to purchase based on your preferred price category for the first three weeks of the finals. Due to the demand for tickets however, all ticket agents are advised to sell 'next best available' to make the allocation process fast and convenient for purchasers.

I tried to buy a ticket but it says ‘Allocation Exhausted’. Does that mean the game is sold out?
On occasion, some games may have seats released closer to the day of the game. These seats include internal and dining allocations that are not used. Continue to check back on the ticket agent’s site for availability. If there will be no further tickets released for sale, the game will be declared as sell out, and corresponding messaging will read Sold Out.

“Exhausted Entitlements” error message
If at any point you enter in your barcode numbers and receive an ‘Exhausted Entitlements’ error message, please ‘clear your cart’ – this can be done by clicking on the shopping cart icon at the bottom right hand side of the Ticketek website.

Experiencing issues with your Ticketek or Ticketmaster browser?
You may wish to clear your browsing data in attempt to fix this. The keyboard shortcut to clear cache on browsers like Mozilla, Chrome and Internet Explorer is Ctrl+Shift+Del.
Please note, if you are placed in a queue during ticket on-sale, clearing your browsing data or refreshing the page will result in you losing your place in queue. We only recommend clearing browsing data if you are having trouble accessing the Ticketmaster or Ticketek website.

Should either ticketing agent crash due to high website traffic, the Club will work to notify all members as quickly as possible. Further action is at the direction of either ticketing agent. At no stage throughout the 2022 Toyota AFL Finals Series can ticket/s be purchased directly through the Club.

Can I purchase tickets through a third party, such as eBay, Gumtree, Ticketmaster Resale or other re-sale markets?
For information about ticket resale, visit afl.com.au/finals/tickets/resale

I am an AFL member with a club support package. Can I purchase tickets from the club allocation for weeks 1, 2 & 3?
AFL Members will be communicated to by AFL Membership regarding access and entitlements.

I am a 2022 MCC member with a club Support package. Can I purchase tickets from the club allocation for weeks 1, 2 & 3?
MCC Tiger Access and Provisional upgrade members are eligible to purchase priority access to weeks 1-3 finals tickets through the Richmond Football Club member allocation.

If Richmond make the Grand Final, how do I get a ticket as a Richmond Member?
Ticketing and on-sale information for the 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final is still to be confirmed, once confirmed we will circulate communications.

Let's hope the incompetent ticket agencies have got their website right and we don't have stock standard crashes, wait times etc

If we play Dollywood the scramble for tickets will be a dogs breakfast.
I remember 2018 finally getting tickets.
But among the Dollywood faithful, then that chant broke out….USA… :banghead

Funny you mention that Frankie, we were talking about it today.

Only thing we could come up with was that 2 games are via Ticketek and 2 games are via Ticketmaster, they obviously think the 2 of them can handle the traffic

But let's be honest the simple fact we and the Pies are playing should be r8nging alar, bells about the traffic

Clueless, just clueless

yeah agreed it was a very easy process.

On the other hand, i got tickets in the AFL members at 12 for Melb/Syd via Ticketek

Took 10mins atleast to get in, why on earth they decided to sell AFL reserve for both MCG finals at the same time is beyond me.

We have a bye, they could stagger them over today and tomorrow surely to reduce the amount of traffic trying to access the site.

Cant be that hard surely :banghead
