Be wary too of a fake Tom Browne account on twitter

Probably more credible than the real one. :shh

Rather just continue to blood Ryan, plays his best as first ruck as he demonstrated early on when Nank  & Soldo were both out and frankly it was vastly superior ruckwork to anything either of those two have ever served up- he just unable to sustain it but with another pre-season under his belt he should be able to handle the duties for longer. :shh

Trade state of play

Ben Cotton, Ben Waterworth and David Zita
Fox Sports
September 19th, 2023

RICHMOND

There’s a clear changing of the guard at Tigerland, but a year after the club’s Tim Taranto-Jacob Hopper double-coup, don’t expect such a big splash.

They’re among the sides that have been linked to making a play for Gold Coast’s No. 4 pick, though Richmond only has picks 25 and 44 to play with after trading its first-rounder in the Hopper deal.

Rumours of Dustin Martin’s move to Gold Coast to reunite with Damien Hardwick won’t go away, but the logistics of a trade given he’s contracted on a big-money deal make it feel more unlikely than likely.

There was also a report that suggested Dion Prestia could look to return to Queensland to finish his career, but he too is under contract at Richmond.

Ivan Soldo has rebuffed rival interest in the past — and the Power are the club reportedly making a play for him this year.

With regards to who they could bring in, Demon James Harmes has been floated.

For now though, the club’s main priority is clearly choosing its next senior coach.

Don’t think Ryan can be relied upon yet… happy to give the kid more of a go.

St Kilda free agent Jade Gresham could be on the move to a Victorian rival this off-season.

While the Saints are reportedly keen for the 26-year-old to stay at Moorabbin, Gresham has met with all of Essendon, Carlton and Richmond as he mulls his next move.

Callum Twomey: “I think the Bombers are leading the race there, they’ve met with him.

“Richmond, as we reported last week, have met with him as well – you feel like that’s probably the more of the unlikely scenarios there.

“There’s obviously still an option for him to stay at St Kilda on a deal, obviously that’d be on St Kilda’s terms.

“He’s still got a decision to make, I expect him to move, it just depends to which of those Victorian clubs.

“He does have the pull to play at the MCG more in front of big crowds, that’s part of the pull for him so I think that’ll play into his decision-making.”

Gresham played 23 games in 2023 as he averaged 17.6 disposals, 0.9 goals, 3.4 inside 50s and 3.2 tackles a game.

Callum Twomey on his 'Gettable' podcast today:

Grundy to Sydney.
Flynn to West Coast.
Goldstein to Essendon - looking more likely.
Lycett to North - if they lose Goldstein.
Sweet to Port.
Soldo potentially to Port as well.

Gresham has played against Richmond 10 times and has scored 20 goals 4 behinds in those games. The most against against any side. Loves playing against us

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
