This is not a rumour just putting it out there for discussion.
If you could get pick 5 for Dusty and pick 1 for Shai Bolton (eagles) would you consider it?

For Shai Bolton - absolutely not. I'd want 2 first rounders for him minimum.

For Dusty, a no as well would want a 1st and 2nd rounder minimum.

No way I'd consider trading either of those guys.

You don't know what you'll draft, you might get another Cotchin or you might get a Beau Dowler.  We know what we've got with Shai & Dusty.

How many more years do people think we're actually going to get out of Dusty?  :shh

A first rounder would be a great result

No brainer.
Harley Reid for Shai Bolton? Where do I sign.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Personally you could offer me the messiah ( insert favourite religion) before I’d consider trading shae Bolton

Wow

It’s amazing how blinkered some supporters are

Every player in the league is available .. not 99%

100% are available

The only thing in question is price

Yes but I doubt we'd get that currency back.

Bolton still inconsistent at times and Dusty on huge money so unless we're paying some salary we won't get that pick coming back.

Pick 5 would be very hard to turn down for Dusty. Who we would be keeping on sentiment and without Cotch and Jack, our dynasty era has moved on. If Dusty had played his 300th I'd be ok with him going but part of me really feels he needs to play his 300th for us.

Gold Coast’s first pick, currently No. 5, is expected to be targeted by a number of clubs to help the Suns place bids on their academy players — Jed Walter, Ethan Read and Jake Rogers — with Richmond previously linked to a potential move for the selection.

However, teams are still waiting to see how the ladder finishes at the end of the home and away season given the Suns’ pick could yet slide down.

For me I would never trade dusty as he is the fabric of our dynasty/winning culture and everything which made Richmond a team that was loved/envied/feared etc. I’d want us to honour his contributions to our club and have him play his 300th in yellow and black

I’d trade Bolton though. He is more highlights reel then a week in week out A-grace contributor. He snap and misses from 10 metres out and the tendency to drift out of games when we really need someone to stand up for me means he’s expendable. I’d still demand something high given his potential but he’s the type of player I would try and milk picks out of due to perceived value and potential

Would have to involve trading our 2024 picks for some 2023 picks to bundle up for pick 5
