Suns would be silly to move on Chol. Once Casboult goes down or retires they'll need a forward/ruck relief

We didn't move him on

Trade week is going to be very quiet this year.  This is just the beginning of average footballers like Mabs being talked about.

"He is categorically available."

@tommorris32 believes Mabior Chol could be on the move to a 3rd club.

Two years left on his contract on good cash, but a club won't have to give up too much for him. New manager. Has left Ralph Carr.

Fox Footy’s Jon Ralph said Jack Silvagni would “likely have to rely on the Blues offering him a new deal” due to a “lack of interest”.

“Clubs like Richmond and GWS that might have had a need for a key position player, who can go into the ruck have not expressed interest in the 25-year-old,” he wrote for the Herald Sun.

Despite claims Tarryn Thomas is “one mistake away” from having his AFL career cut short, there’s reports rival clubs are circling the contracted mid.

SEN’s Sam Edmund said that late season form has reeled in a lot of interested parties.

“His management have had a lot of enquiries from rival clubs,” he said.

Mabior Chol’s manager Ashley Blair says “a number of clubs” have approached him regarding the player’s future. @1116sen

Richmond are keen on trading in an established key forward to help Tom Lynch

Jack Riewoldt is gone, Tom Lynch is injury prone, Ben Miller and Samson Ryan aren’t quite ready, so are the Tigers targeting an established mystery forward to help their chances next year?

Is Richmond brewing something out of the blue in the upcoming trade period?

Herald Sun football reporter Jon Ralph has revealed on this week’s footy podcast the Tigers are targeting a key deficiency in their list and have zeroed in on one unknown player.

“I think there’s a mystery forward that they’re (Richmond) keen for,” Ralph said.

“I think he’s only a mid-size player in terms of the contract size but I think when Jack Riewoldt retired, the feeling was we’ve (Richmond) got one.

“We’re looking for one, we’ll bring him in and it won’t cost us much in terms of trade collateral but we feel like he will help us out.”

Ralph said the Tigers want a player to help out injury prone forward Tom Lynch.

“They don’t feel like Ben Miller or Samson Ryan are ready next year to be the second or third key position player.

“So who is it? It’s not Mabior Chol, it’s not Jack Silvagni, it’s not Chris Burgess, it’s not Harry Jones, it’s not Hayden McLean.

“So who is the Richmond mystery forward who just might help them out.”

Word is it's Koschitzke from Hawthorn but it's probably Matt Taberner or Ash Johnson.... :badidea

Well Mouth suggested it may be Taberner so lets hope he is wrong, yet again

Taberner would be a return to the glory days of Brad Miller & Aaron Edwards... :shh

Maybe we're going after Elliot Himmelberg after his brother knocked us back? :shh

Tom Fullarton from Brisbane another name being chucked around (mainly on Big Furphy so can probably count him out -hardly "established" either.) :shh :shh

Better off just going for Baldwin or Sellers than any of the duds mentioned so far..... :shh :shh :shh

lol at the chicken littles. So atm we have Lynchy and then absolutely nothing apart from Bauer who isn't even kpp size.
Any kid we draft will most likely take what 3 or 4 years to get regular games.Yet here are people turning their noses up at Taberner and Johnson at a time when we have absolutely no capital to get a top end type of high quality..
So next year i can listen to the same posters  bemoaning Lynch not having at least someone who could take a bit of heat away from him very much like they have complained about the same situation we had with JR this year.

It really is funny the same posters rave on about the cupboard being bare. Then carry on about blokes who will most likely allow kids to develop in their own time like Taberner  who will at least be able to compete, While so called good kids we are going to draft develop.

Fair dinkum some here have nfi.
Why do so many never ever learn from the past?. We should take an experienced KPF.  Simply because THERE IS NO ONE ELSE APART FROM TOM LYNCH. There is certainly no kids in the system outside of Bauer who atm is not a kpp.

Yep lets run big Tom into the ground just like we did JR this year.

I’m listening Crawski. Who do you like?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
