“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Think we will drop our game in "gather round"

All bar Adelaide, we would be 50/50 in all of those other matches.

I wouldn’t be too confident against Adelaide after what happened last season. They’ll surely have improved slightly too just based on having another preseason into their younger players + the addition of rankine.

I would be upset with 3-3. Break even leading into the bye then build momentum after the break

I think we'll take time to get going and for new recruits to learn structures again

Ideally want to be 4-2 or better.

And they pump themselves up at home against us after they lost the 2017 GF.

They only need to learn how to get the ball out to our running mids. Taranto will be given freedom to play up forward and kick goals. Reckon they learnt all this at gws lol
Players from other clubs have tended to do well in their first year ie Lynch, Prestia, etc etc

Got the last bit right

First bit not even close
