final 10 games of the season (averages):
- 28 disposals
- 11 contested possessions
- 10 score involvements
- 1.5 goals
and this is nowhere close to his best 10 game stretch
he’s also playing 86% as a forward. with less then 5 CBA’s per game. it’s just crazy we’re so numb
possibly a very wild thing to say but this might be his best H/A season since 2017

Let’s be honest.
This award and the clowns who vote on the panel have about as much credibility as Robbo’s top 50. The fringe selections are done to provoke some supporters and have others feeling good about themselves.
Who really cares what they think?

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

The primary award Dusty is interested in is a premiership medal

Definitely his best season since 2017 IMO.
Has often looked like the passion isn't there until the moment comes ie grand finals.
Several times this year I thought he looked hungry again.

Foxfooty.com.au assesses and ranks the ‘unlucky 22’ that didn’t make the 2022 All-Australian team.
1. Dustin Martin (Richmond)
“My opinion, it’s a flat out error. It’s as simple as that,” David King said.
“He’s been judged against his standard of the past, not the standard of the competition or what’s happened in 2023. The year he’s had across half-froward has been unbelievable.
“I probably had (Kyle) Langford on par with him, if not fractionally in front, prior to the last fortnight of the season. But he finished so strong he stamped the year for me.
“Had I done an All-Australian team at the end of the year, you would’ve had to have had him in centre-forward somewhere.”
