Cotchin needs to make a choice. Play at full pace as he needs to at AFL level or retire.

This 70 to 80% pace rubbish has to stop. Play a young Midfielder like Dow or Sonsie instead of an old bloke playing at half pace. Love him but it's over.

I know he was trying to get the game moving but Maurice had to have the awareness of Pies around him. It was our free.

Goes back to my comment earlier. Does not know what to do with ball in hand. Majority of the time will either turn it over or hesitate and get run down. Even his assist to lynch was a bad kick to the defenders advantage, lynch just managed to beat him to it.

Agree that we stayed with probably the best team in comp at the moment, whilst playing awful and 4 from our best 22 out.

8.15 could have been 15.8 and we lose by 9 goals. Lots to work on, I'm still not happy with our forwardline. Not enough guys are goal kickers. Maurice doesn't hit scoreboard enough. Mansell set shot says enough. 3 talls I don't think works. I like Lynch Riewoldt and Cumberland. Graham up forward doesn't work he also doesn't hit scoreboard. So keep Lynch quiet and we won't score much. Gotta find more avenues to goal.

What's happen to our skills and disposal under 10 stuff sometimes not clean enough and will hold us back bigtime that and brain fades has been holding us back for the last 2 seasons to many players for my liking.

Dimma needs to do what's best for our club we are carrying to many veterans that are one paced now.

Maurice and the boys will probably keep this in the memory bank. Not tough pushing someone already on the ground.

That’s what we use to do. The pies are the real deal.

Problem is we aren’t tough anymore.  :banghead

A little nothing push,  ::)

I think our blokes should have bigger things to concern themselves with than that

Riewoldt and Cotch are both spent. Cotch can’t get from contest to contest, has zero outside run and can’t close players down. He was so slow to react to a few balls that spilled out in the open and he was in the box seat. Riewoldt… don’t get me started: zero leads, can’t read the fall of the ball any more, wants to play volleyball or soccer more that footy. NEVER runs hard to provide a contest on the wing or even half forward. Defenders just sit all over Lynch because Jack can only get gift wrapped possessions these days.

Nankervis is a lazy plodder, as soon as the ball leaves his space he just walks everywhere. Doesn’t push hard forward or back and is never a marking option down the line.

Grimes has lost that electric closing / shutdown speed, he looks a real worry to me.

We served up hospital pass / handball time after time that got our players smashed as soon as the ball arrived. Also can’t remember how many handballs and kicks got smothered last night. We had zero run / options from behind the ball and I can’t recall us once taking a chance through the corridor.

Dow should be a mainstay in our midfield right now, same with Sonsie.

We are asking Maurice to carry too much load, he is playing high half forward and is chasing and tackling and pressuring his arse off in the midfield and can’t impact the scoreboard because he has spent all his petrol tickets by the time he gets forward. Plus, at the moment, he is a little slow between the ears / with vision and this gets him caught a lot. He’ll be a ripper in another 12 months.

I would have taken a 14 point loss pre game .

We are still tinkering with our best version.
