Those in trouble:-

Broad - suspended (2-3 weeks)
M Rioli - 4 possessions 2 tackles no goals
Martin - ????
Bolton - Isn't really doing enough (1 goal as a small forward)

I don’t even know what would constitute a good change anymore. Such wildly inconsistent performances within a 4 qtr period. Same as last season and the only difference with 2021 is that we can put on very big scores. Whatever changes they wanna make I guess  :huh

I like it.

We definitely need more speed as we looked slow as treacle in the second half.

As long as he brings pressure as well.

I just don't get the feeling that things are right. I feel they are very, very wrong.

Bring some kids in.

Out: Broad
In: Cumberland

I wouldn't be doing anything drastic however our forward again still doesn't know what it's best combo is. This needs to be sorted out. Short forward was stupid, need his run and carry in back half. When Rioli went quiet we just bombed down the line and got destroyed. Pies will absolutely swallow this up. Short back to play in Broads role and I'd personally bring Cumberland in. Play Dusty in midfield rotation. I dare say Cumberland issue is what Dusty supposedly did today which was provide little forward pressure. Dusty is at his best when he is kicking the ball inside 50 or around the arc.

We don’t have anyone at the fall of the ball in our forward line. We struggle to lock the ball deep in our 50.we were very good at that during the premiership run. Need to find some quick, attacking smalls.

Agree. Not sure Dusty, Cotch and Short are really the answer up forward.  They just don't apply enough forward pressure for our game plan to work.  We need at least 3 chase down forwards. Morris and Bolton being to only forwards that backs have to worry about being rushed by is not enough. Not sure what the answer is though as I not sure Cumberland offers that pressure either. Morris and Bolton aren't really nailing the tackles either and that's a worry.

Will be interesting at selection.

No Dr but you'd have to think Hopper won't play this week.  Agree we need speed

I hope Cumberland plays really well. Even if his chasing and defensive pressure isn’t the best, his nouse and ability to read the play of the ball also puts pressure on opponents, just another number at the fall of the ball is so valuable
