I think he gets a week. If Ryder gets 2 on Will Day last year. It's a lotto.

MRJ needs to play way better than Mansell.

I'd honestly consider dropping Nank for Biggie. Nank is way off, I don't care that he's captain, we have another anyway.

Biggie was injured yesterday.  Hurt his foot don't think he is an option

What's the feeling on Lynch? Does he get suspended?

Doesn't matter. He's out long term.

Jack and Miller in for mine. Miller to play second ruck/forward. Ryan to play FF

That is what will likely happen. But play Miller key fwd and keep Ryan in the ruck.
Shame Bradtke got hurt they must be now tempted to throw in a natural kpf.

Would also be tempted to play Miller as the third tall allowing Grimes to go to Heeney.

A forward line of:

Sonsie/Rioli Cumberland Bolton
Martin Riewoldt Ryan

should still be able to cause some problems for opposition defenders. All is not lost.

Any one like the idea of Grimes playing his old role on a smaller opponent and becoming the intercept player we know he can.
IMO he would be a good fit for Heeney who is a threat in the air and hard to match up on.

Means  Miller playing on one of  Amarty McDonald or Franklin, Failing that starting him as a key fwd.

Balta has the athleticism to start on Franklin i think. Young probably goes to McDonald.
Also Like the idea of giving Mansell the job on diver ducker  Papley. leaves a Vlastuin Haywood matchup.

Dusty on Parker head to head in the guts.  Taranto goes head to head with Mills.
Start on ball with Nankervis Taranto and Bolton.

Maybe start Ralphsmith on McIntoshs wing.

Three pacey skilled small fwds starting in Sonsie, Cumberland, and Clarke. to go with possibly Miller Riewoldt and Ryan as the ruck/fwd.

Just throwing things up any thoughts.

I think grimes is a bit slow now which is really sad to see. At his best he could run with and was absolutely dominating Charlie Cameron. I actually don’t know who he matches against so he doesn’t get exposed.

You’re on the money with Balta vs Franklin. Balta (round 3 version) would absolutely pants Franklin

Just on this, i wouldn’t mind playing Pickett as our leading FF leaving Ryan FP as the tall. Pickett plays tall and has the pace on the lead. He also provides a contest in the air and would create a matchup problem for the Swans.

Sonesie and Cumberland need to play every game. Probably include Clarke there too.
We’re just gonna have to suck it up and have a proper crack. If our intent is there we can still win despite injuries. I know Miller isn’t a forward but he might just have to play there anyway. Id consider dropping Ryan for Miller.. Ryan just doesn’t show enough intent imo.

In: Miller, Ross, Riewoldt
Out: Graham, Lynch, Ryan

I would still give Ryan more games. The first one he played this year was ok but the next two have been in the wet which doesn't really suit tall forwards Hard to judge on those two games. He also seems to be quite good as a ruck chop out for Nank.
