This interesting tweet was posted on twitter by Tiger supporter Paul RFC 17 19 20 (@P_T_Ager).

My thoughts on Richmond after 5 weeks of the season.

Long winded summary of what we're all saying here IMO.

We've built a window of guys to come through together, Hopper (26) and Taranto (25) are the top of that window, the Gibcus draft class the bottom.

The last group peaked 2017-2020 based on age demographics. (Gale has spoken about this)

The new team will peak 2025-2028.

The most disappointing thing is our attitude and intent. We’ve shown in the past that we can be depleted due to injuries but we still play with that hunger and intent, but that hasn’t been there this year. On paper our list should still trouble a lot of teams but we just aren’t there mentally and that’s the most concerning thing for me. That coupled with a serious lack of key position players coming through and I think we are in for a rough few years unless we can recruit some young promising keys some how. I have faith gibcus can be a very handy player. I think balta can still be an AA defender, but who’s left ? I have serious doubts about Ryan, Miller may be serviceable at best and young might prove himself to be a handy lockdown defender. Then you look at the rest of our players… Sonesie has shown good signs but isn’t exactly knocking the door down, Dow seems to be no where atm. Clarke has shown some good signs but none of these guys seem to be future A graders imo, maybe sonesie and gibcus if we’re lucky. It seems as though we aren’t too concerned about the draft so hopefully we can get our hands on more talent through trade or free agency

Just having a think and a question. Rather than where are we and where to from here as a club. A more important question would be about the players and where are they and where will they get to outside of the 29 plus year olds.
