You'd hope not but based on today. Reckon it's more like 40/60

We were that bad  :scream  :banghead :help

Just watched the press conference.

"Richmond beating Richmond."

Has this become an ego thing with us? You know, we don't actually lose games of football, we just beat ourselves?

I think a good starting point for turning things around would be to admit that "Gold Coast beat Richmond." Then move on to "how?"

Sick of hearing the same rhetoric after every loss.

Just laughing my arse off at the comedy capers.

Really hope we do not do a WCE from here on in and continue to believe we dont need to go to kids.

The age demographic said 2020 was the last roll of the dice and we got lucky we won a flag. But winning flags also has its detrimental side. IT MAKES CLUBS BELIEVE THEY ARE STILL IN A WINDOW.

Thing is it has not been our belief where we are at but our Recruiting and list management that now has us where we are imo.
Trouble with that is we have to wait another year before we can get back into decent draft picks.

For me and i hope other realistic tiger supporters we now need to rebuild probably for the next 7 or 8 years. Bottom line is we have had our time in the sun we need to acknowledge where we are at or suffer for a long time.

agree claw.

Ive said this many times we were never close to another flag. Not even remotely IMO, and how people thought we were close was quite bemusing.

Our game plan sucks. We choked last year because our older players have become old all at once, and our youth are pretty crap.

we should never have recruited 2 of those gws players. One yes but 2 was criminal. Holes all over the park!

Not just that its what we are doing with development and list needs. Why in the reserves when we are so bereft of tall fwds is Bauer playing in defense.

We drafted him as a tall fwd because we are desperate for that type. Yet we ignore HIS development as a fwd and the need to FIND  a tall fwd and play him back. What the hell are we thinking. Imo he has shown himself to at least be a natural fwd in so many ways.

Why are we so often playing blokes out of their best roles? We are constantly doing this poo.
Mate i can go on and on but to be honest im over it. The vast majority of supporters just go along with what ever the club says and does and defends them vigorously even when it hits them in face that things are wrong.

As a club i think we are in the denial phase there is always an excuse. I just pray we don;'t take years to get to the reality phase.

Get your point but 7 or 8 years? I don't think so

Definitely, going to take time but I'd think depending on what the kids we haven't seen yet or haven't seen much of will determine how long it takes

I think you will be shocked WP at just vhow long it can take IF you get most things right yet alone when you get things wrong.
The other point is just how high you rate what kids we have and say the 24 thru 27 yr old group.

Take the oldies out there really is not a lot of high quality there imo. Do the exercise for yourself.
First off we have to find a core that will come together and gell at the right time. That will take how many seasons wp. then we need to get the core group to how many games collectively.

I will even ask you to look at our 2017 team a lot of the core and better players were taken before Hardwick even got there at the end of 2009.  2009 - 2017 thats 8 years and we had Rance, Riewoldt, Astbury Martin Cotchin, Edwards there in 2009 and i think Grimes was taken psd 09. Our 2017 premiership started before Hardwick got there or as he first stepped thru the door.
Imo there is no such thing as a 5 year rebuild..
