My gut feel is Mansell or Hugo will be sub

Have to say it looks a far more balanced side with Broad back down back

Good changes, prolly HRS as sub again. Soldo is a calculated risk, but one worth taking given the importance of centre bounce these days, and with Witts in there for them.

Very glad to see Ross and Sonsie in, and Broady of course.

Ben Miller looked out of his depth vs Dees. Assume they don’t want Witts to expose the rucks again.
Miller is utility who under normal circumstances would just give  a Soldo or Nankervis a break and come up against a similar type to himself.
We actually played a 206cm 104kg ruckman in Ryan and he didnt fare too well either.

Still think Miller is a better bet in defense than Young.

Updated.

In: Ross, Soldo, Broad, Sonsie

Out: Prestia (general soreness), M.Rioli (hamstring), Ralphsmith (omitted), Mansell (omitted), Clarke (omitted)

Source: RFC twitter.
Can't really complain with the ins. Some of these changes should have been made last week.

Only query is we've gone in with all three of Ryan, Soldo and Miller. Obviously worried about Witts dominating the hitouts at the stoppages as well as Soldo running out of juice. If we knew Soldo could get through the whole game, then I'm guessing Bauer may have come in for Miller.

Presumably, Clarke is the sub. Surely not Mansell nor Hugo.

Interesting that Pickett is named at HFF and Sonsie on the wing. Wonder if that will eventuate. I guess the plan is to sub Soldo out late for some extra run. Or early if it ain't working!

Saw that. Pickett given the role to apply physical forward pressure with Maurice out?

Like Jack Graham?

Yep, pretty much that role you would think. Whether Pickett can snag a couple as well like Graham has done in the past is yet to be seen.

Sonsie was told he would be playing wing. Pickett forward would be a good move as he is good in the air and provides pressure on the ground.

Leave Miller back.

I’ve thought since the elimination final last season that sonsie had all the attributes to be an excellent winger. Happy he’s getting trialed there and hopefully he goes well.

I didn’t realise sonsie had that good of a tank. Here’s hoping it works out. Pickett is deceptively strong so would more than happy to experiment with him in the forward line

Happy for him to play wing but really do question if he has the tank for it. Both Pickett and McIntosh cover a lot of kms with their gut running. Skill wise has it covered but the gut running?

Will be an interesting watch that's for sure
