I get that guys like Cotch and Grimes are ageing big time.

Jack got fed crap today by the midfield.

Ruck stocks are poor and decimated.

Not having Lynch is tough etc.


But do you think there's something bigger going wrong? Today the players didn't look like they gave a damn or could be arsed manning up in the last quarter only 15 points down.


Can't help but wonder if the coach has lost them or there's something not right mentally, with the culture etc.

The lack of discipline has really spread like a cancer throughout the club. not sure if it stems from arrogance of our success or something, but there couldn’t be any arrogance now because we are absolute trash. As other sides have shown all you need is to play for each other and play with intent and desire to be competitive and the talent takes you the rest of the way.. we are lacking

Not necessarily that, but I do wonder if Hardwick has lost them a bit or if maybe we have the wrong leaders etc

We haven't been able to adapt to AFL rule changes, this falls on the coach
The foot skills have been horrific, this is on the players
Our midfield are playing from behind and are second to the ball in starting sets and stoppages. I don't know how this is allowed or tolerated by the coach.

That’s how mediocrity sets in and it infects everyone.

A little standard drop here, a little there and the next thing the coach is finding that his integrity isn’t as important as it once was and the players, staff look and listen to him with that knowledge.

Like the coach, the senior stars get a pass on training standards because of their previous success.
The youngsters aren’t getting better because the standards aren’t being raised and kept.
Excuses are being validated from within and perpetuating diminished standards.

Mediocrity is a cancer!

It must be eradicated or it will just get worse.

Raise the standards and eradicate mediocrity! It’s essential to success.
