Just got to have a look at the incident. There was also one perhaps two frogs offside. What the fornicate were the linesmen doing?
Yep you're right al it was definitely offside with the initial kick. Monsieur Myop was the linesman  :help.

FIFA have made it tougher for us this time placing us in the weakest pot whereas last time when we were still in Oceania we weren't in the same pot as the Asian countries. The draw on Saturday is really going to play a massive part in whether we get through the group stage.

If we end up in a group of South Africa, Uruguay/Algeria and one of the other minor European nations say then our chances are fairly good. Cop Brazil/Italy/Spain, Ivory Coast and France/Portugal and it'll be tough to get through to the knockout stage again. Whatever happens it would be awesome if we are placed in the same group as England  :pray. Be funny as if we were the ones who knocked them out of the World Cup.

I'd like to know how Argentina is a seeded country given they just scraped through the qualification phase  ??? ::).

Italy and England are blessed.

I don't mind our group. Sure it's no walk in the park but it could have been a hell of a lot worse as the North Koreans have found out. I see it as a group similar to last time. We have a world power (Germany instead of Brazil), a physical second-tier European country from the Balkans (Serbia instead of Croatia), and finally a country we've had a fairly good record against in the past (Ghana instead of Japan). If we're good enough we can get through. If Germany can beat Serbia and Ghana then it'll come to down to how we go against the same sides. That's how we go through the group stage in 2006.

If we do get through and finish second in the group we'll face England who are likely to finish on top of their group (talk about charity from FIFA  ::) ). Now there's motivation for an Australian side if ever there was  :thumbsup.

Greece would be in the group of death Tucky but in the Greeks favour there's no standout side in their group. Argentina just scraped through to qualify and the other two are beatable if the Greeks hold up defensively.

Seems most countries this time are calling their group the group of death from all the news reports. They classed ours as the second toughest group.

Interesting to read the coaches comments. No mention of us by Germany or Ghana. Hopefully they underestimate us again.

Against Germany I think we will rise to the occasion like we did against Italy in the last WC with strong defensive pressure to compensate for our lack of flair. Stick to em like white on rice and wait for an attacking opportunity or mistake by the opposition. We will also be severe underdogs which is when we play our best football.

Agree tiga. We need to be physical and try and hit them on the counterattack. The Germans play a fairly dull systematic get the job done style so the Aussies need to be disciplined, patient and make the most of any chance that comes our way. We play them first so even coming away with just a draw would be a huge result.

Germany are pretty awesome team guys even if we play stronge in defense and very disciplined they will get chances and they will make good use of them.
i can see us coming 2nd in our group though if we play our best.

In the Asian Cup qualifier, the Socceroos drew 2-2 with Kuwait in Kuwait on a dodgy pitch after being 2-0 up after just 5 minutes.
