Intercept Marks
« on: June 10, 2023, 11:30:49 PM »
For mine is absolutely king now days.
Turnovers don't happen as often in middle of ground cause of stand contact netball rubbish we see now, turnovers happen in D50 lots more.
We tore our hair out vs Essendon with Redman and Ridley intercepting.

Vlastuin was brilliant tonight and I didn't notice any Freo player intercepting as much as we have seen this year. And we dominated the game.

If the state of the game stays where it is Gibcus maybe be an absolute game changer for us intercepting marks in D50. Darcy Moore is arguably the most important player for Pies. Ridley for Bombers, Lever for Dee's, Ballard for Suns and sides all doing well.

Been important for a while. That’s why Rance became the best defender in the game and opposition teams had to start tagging him.

Correct but 666 has made the spare player behind the ball less effective cause you must be accountable after a goal. But now with flooding coming back taking a mark in D50 to reset the counter attack is now hugely important again.
