In: Soldo, Cumberland, Ross (into 22)

Out: Nank (susp.), Bauer (inj.), Banks (to sub).

Be good to give Bradtke a go, before we're forced to... regardless of his vfl form

In: Soldo, Bradke, Ross (into 22)

Out: Nank (susp.), Bauer (inj.)
Sub: Banks.. or Riewoldt to come on late and kick 5

Surely Ryan comes in to ruck for nank? Do we rest prestia seeing as we need his Italian ham hocks when we go against melb?

Soldo in for mine. Reckon Ryan needs a spell in the twos.

The only reason you'd bring in Slomo is that if he kicks a goal it guarantees a win...other than that he's a useless lumbering lump...Ryan on the other hand has shown that he thrives as first ruck and when Nank isn't in the side, dominated WC's rucks last time and was at least clunking his marks in the VFL even if his set shot kicking left a lot to be desired....so it's Ryan for me - for now & the future...MC however will likely go with the big Croatasaurus because they just itch to play him whenever they can and they generally don't trust the kids - last week's selections notwithstanding (where they still dropped more kids than they brought in)..... :shh

Sound argument but Ryan was looking tired to me and was being pushed around at will. A match hardened Soldo for mine during the big boy month. Agree Ryan is the future though.

In the Mix: Round 18

Ivan Soldo is set for just his second AFL game this year after missing most of the season with a plantar fasciitis issue, replacing the suspended Toby Nankervis in the ruck. Rhyan Mansell is available for selection after his own three-match ban, while there's a spot forward on offer after Jacob Bauer's hamstring injury. Jack Ross played so well on the wing after coming on as sub, there's a chance the Tigers will persist with Marlion Pickett in attack, or bring in Mansell or Noah Cumberland. The other asterisk is on whether the Tigers will rest Jack Riewoldt (with Samson Ryan in the wings) or Trent Cotchin for the trip to Perth to face West Coast.

Can't rest Jack.

Forward line would be who, Ryan and Miller? Eek, not sure about that. But if Jack is busted up we might have no choice since WCE are our best opportunity to rest him.

Would consider resting Cotch for a week given that Hopper and Prestia are back.

Don't think we should be taking them lightly - not sure we have the composure St.Kilda had to fight back if they jump us and put us under scoreboard pressure with the crowd & the umpires behind them. :shh

Yeah they're a shytetruck but on that occasion they showed composure - will we if put in the same situation? Recent history suggests it's no certainty we will -bearing in mind doing it against sides you're expected to easily account for brings a pressure of it's own. e.g. v  Norf & GC in recent times.   :shh
