Don’t mean to be a party pooper but this is the sort of game that we somehow lose.

Let’s hope Mini has them on the ball

I know how you're thinking. Seriously nothing but a triple figure victory is required if we are serious. Need to make a statement

We beat Sydney by 13, Sydney beat the Weagles by 171, so, 184 points should be the margin.

Plus a tiger would beat an eagle in a fight - if it could catch it. :shh

West Coast v Richmond Preview

Jack Makeham
SEN
13 July 2023

For a game against the worst team in the competition, this is looking like a mighty important clash for Richmond.

Last week’s triumph over Sydney saw the Tigers keep their finals hopes alive, however with how close the race is to make the eight this season, they can’t afford a single misstep.

This week looks to be an easy clash to build some momentum, as Richmond have several key matches in the final stretch of the season that could decide their fate.

West Coast were blown away once again in last round’s match against the Lions, yet it easily could have been worse.

Based off their Round 16 performance against St Kilda, the Eagles still have some fight in them, yet they still shouldn’t be an issue for the Tigers to handle.

Richmond should also be quite eager to make a statement against West Coast, given they struggled to beat them convincingly when they last met earlier in the year.

Expect the Tigers to secure some much-needed percentage in this one.

Tip: Richmond by 46 points.

Doesn't take into account the 40% Richmond umpire tax + 25% West Coast in Perth umpire tax on top of that.:shh

Tigers’ burning question: Can Richmond find a way to build their percentage?

The Tigers are only one win outside the top eight - but they are still a way off with their percentage of just 96.9. And that’s why this match against West Coast is crucial - not only for the win but a potential percentage boost too. Of the Eagles’ 14 straight losses, only one of those has been by less than 40 points. Seven of their past 10 losses have been by 60 points or more, leaving this is Richmond’s big opportunity to put finals back on the table. The last time the Tigers took on West Coast in Perth, they dished out a 109-point belting. And that’s the kind of result they’ll want again to kickstart this 2023 campaign.
