How would we get to Top 4 in 2024?
« on: August 01, 2023, 09:11:53 AM »
Right now, we look 3-5 goals off top 4 ….. or bottom 4 depending on how you would like to view it.

Based on either, what needs to be true for either to happen?

To get up the ladder I think we need:-
1) To farewell 3 champions of the game
2) Find young energy to turn the ball over more frequently - particularly through our mids
3) Recruit or develop mids who can link more effectively by hand on transition

Having Lynch for a season would also help…
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Get fitter earlier, we dont seem to be running out games early in the season.

Draft won't save us unless the 2021 cohort all come good in a hurry.

We won't be top 4 for at least 3-5 years.

I don't see us improving much in 2024 unless we develop two useful key forwards and two useful small forwards.
