Since the boneheads at channel 10 up here decided to run the movie babe instad of the game, could someone give me a rundown on how all the boys went especially Brownie on his return game? From the stats looked like lids had a cracker second half.
Thanks in advance,
Tiga, coming to you from Football's Siberia.
Browny - played on and off the bench (started with Sugar on the bench) and showed glimpses of his old self. Top mark and goal that got a standing ovation as the whole crowd just went off. He also gathered the ball just in front of me and was dodging and weaving away from his opponent which was great to see. He's still got a fair way to go but the class even a half-fit Browny gives the side was very important. Hopefully he pulls up without any leg pain.
Joel - Did a couple of dumb things kicking in that were like the old Bowden but overall was again the general in defence cutting off passes and setting up many attacks as did his brother Paddy.
We just killed North in winning the loose footy which is a first in a long long time. Our bodies are still a bit light on and at times didn't go in hard as we needed to (which helped towards North's early 3rd quarter comeback) but once the footy was free Tucky, Lids, Hyde, Polo, Hyde just Rainesy and co were too quick for North. Only Wells threatened us with pace but they were all too rare.
Simmo would be leading our B&F. Another top game. Killed around the ground.
Chubba not only did well in defence but pushed forward for a few shots on goal.
Meyer is just all class.
Sugar didn't do much as was on and off the bench until the last quarter when he got plenty of the ball. Reckon most of his 21 possies came towards the end of the game. Archer cleaned him up with a hip and shoulder but he bounced straight back up.
Krak didn't do much either and his attack on the footy was disappointing at times. Thompson got away from Razor. Staff was more useful in the ruck than at FF.
The rest were solid.
