“Here’s how we rattle a tin”
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Got no problems with this good to get someone recently retired in the coaching ranks.

I must say it caught me completely by surprise. In all fairness I don’t pay attention to north but I swear there was nothing in the media or even rumours that ziebell had a desire to coach

Yeah, we all hate Norf so Ziebell comes with misgivings.  But you wont find a tougher more hard nosed bloke out there, this is like naming Rambo as an assistant coach!  Somebody to teach some young blokes the more physical aspects of the game, somebody to smack into a few bodies & harden them up!

I’m hoping he provides leadership skills to an emerging younger group
A group who has had the core leadership group retire

Scraping the bottom of the barrel I see.

Won't pay overs for anyone descent and this is the best we get.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I have no opinions on the employment of Jack. I just see it as a leader stepping into a coaching role, probably no different to Chris Newman when he decided he wanted to coach. Don’t forget, at the time we were a rabble like north so I don’t think that is a fair reflection. Obviously we’d prefer someone with success but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have good experience and can’t be a good coach. Best of luck !
