Suns website says there are 3 academy players for 2024. So like this year they will be looking to accumulate later picks and maximise points. So based on tdy's calculations above we have 1400 points as an average to get their 1st round pick. So if Hardwick gets them to finals and they finish bottom 4 of top 8 then their pick will be worth between 1161 and 1329.

2024 trade/draft period options everywhere with those additional picks

Just don't agree with the premise that there are only duds after pick 30 or so.

If they do their homework and get it right there are kids right thru every draft.

Thought we bought in a couple of kids that fitted need a big mid to develop and a kpf to develop.
Just think we could have done more just two nd picks late two years in a row now just does not fit right with me.

So, in total for next year we've got:

Our own 1st.
Our own 2nd.
Freo's 2nd.
Our own 3rd.
Eagles' 3rd.
Freo's 3rd.
Our own 4th.
Essendon's 4th - this future 4th rounder we got from Essendon is tied to Collingwood.
Port's 4th.
Correction.

The more Freo loses the better it is for us.

That draft hand is starting to look ok if you take into account what me may receive for Baker . Throw in a good compensation for the possibility of Dan Rioli and Dusty moving - but this is just conjecture at this point

Will be even better if we can bundle some of those and get more top 10's.

If Baker goes I could see us pushing for 3 top 10 picks.

Yep. Target clubs needing draft points for their academy kids and father-sons.

23+30 -> pick 10
30+41 -> pick 17
30+41+43 -> pick 10
30+48+59+64 -> pick 14
41+43 -> pick 24

Reckon we might jag Freo’s 8 and 10 in return for Baker and say our pick 30. Give me Goldies pick 9 for Dan Rioli (the one position we have heaps of alternatives).
Then I’d be on trading that pick 8 and 21 to get us pick 4 or 5 from Crows or Eagles.
 That gives us a great draft hand providing we finish bottom 3….
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I think we'd be lucky to get 10 for Baker by itself

So basically low to mid 20's for Baker.?

If we make that deal then we are a very stupid club. I don't think we would entertain anything more than low teens.

My guess is around 10 and that is fair for his leadership, talent and experience coming from a successful club.

If not then tell them all to FO

8 and 10 for Baker and 30?

If you can get that sorted , we should make you list manager, director of football, and everything else in between

And Freo’s bloke should be fired for utter incompetence
