Where will the ‘Flying Viking’ land in the draft?

Versatile key position prospect Alix Tauru is rising up the ranks.

Cal Twomey suggesting that Harry Armstrong might be surging to top 5 contention... yet another reason why it might not be worthwhile to try and move up from 6 (assuming Rioli deal gets done). A gun is going to be there at 6.

Roll a dice over Armstrong and Whitlock in all honesty. Who knows who will be better but I'd like to think we snap one of them up as we simply don't have any fwds. Lynch 1 maybe 2 seasons max and let one of these boys play VFL for 1-2 seasons.

There is no way Armstrong goes top 5. Cal is shocking at times. Who takes Armstrong ahead of Jagga, FOS, Draper, Langford, Smillie, Reid, Trainor, Lalor (although he may slide now with bad hammy).

Who is crying out for a young key fwd.
North at 2? No chance. They'll go Trainor if not one of the star mods.
WCE at 3 very very unlikely, maybe if he was a WA boy.
Adelaide can't see them passing up Draper if he's there.
Melb, very unlikely at 5, especially with issues with Oliver, Neal Bullen leaving and Petrecca getting on and disgruntled. I can't see how they pass up a Smillie, Langford or Reid who would be around this pick. But would be the only one in top 10 that maybe roll the dice.
Saints won't touch him with their pick and their FA compo for Battle. They have plenty of tall forward options with King, Caminiti and Sharman.
Essendon, who knows what these idiots do, if Trainor is here they pick him as there backline is garbage. I think they go midfielder tho, they want to play finals no stone unturned. Armstrong won't be in best 22 next year. So I see them going midfield and working on a FA forward.

So then pick 9 and 10 which hopefully we can get from Freo for Bolton. Armstrong would be available which I think at pick 10 would be perfect. If he's not Whitlock is available and I'd ensure we get one of them and pick him then. If Armstrong if picked before 9 we will get an absolute steal at 9 like a Reid or Lalor and then go KP at pick 10.
Go Tigers!

I have some mail that we are very keen on Harry Armstrong. Don’t be surprised if we take him with a top 10 pick, depending on what we end up with.

Armstrong will go in the top 6. Can't see him getting past Melbourne.

100%

that rabble will take him for sure given their forward line

It's all based off need but if Trainor NM and Armstrong MELB go top 5 far out we will get an absolute steal at 6.

Meaning we draft 2 of Jagga FOS Langford Draper Smillie is incredible. Id prefer us getting 2 of those players and pick up Whitlock with 9 or 10.

Is there any doubt Jagga is going to be our first pick at this point?

The Rebels come from nowhere to upset Oakleigh and set up a Grand Final against the Dragons. Brilliant game.

Finn O’Sullivan had this tough shot to win it but kicked across goal. #AFLDraft

VIDEO: https://x.com/Jasperc53/status/1835195079084196340

Finn was good with 20d and 2g. This clip sums up his frustrating year, though. Flies through the stoppage and just misses the ball, then takes an unbelievable pack mark on the boundary before fluffing a tough chance. Needs an injury-free run at it, then watch out. #AFLDraft

Jonty Faull was a colossus with 5g from 18d. Ollie Hannaford (12d 1g) in everything good and Jack Ough’s (21d 1g) snap proved the difference. Jagga got tagged and only finished with 32d and a goal. We’ve known this for a long time, but he is a freak of a prospect. #AFLDraft

Some people are seduced by Jagga's stats and they seem impressive but there is very little hurt factor with the disposals.

How soon have we forgotten Dusty who with 20 disposals could single handedly turn games with his hurt factor.

Scully was producing similar numbers to Jagga but he went on to become a decent midfielder but I believe we can do better than Jagga with our 1st pick.
