Seriously,  I don't know how many times we have to put up with this nonsense  :banghead

Facts are the World Anti-Doping Agency appealed the AFL decision which they are entitled to do. And BTW they do it all the time.

The world Arbitration for Sport found that the Essendon Players had most likely taken banned subsrances. Remembering the fact there being no positive tests is irrelevant as their decision is based on them being satisfied that something illegal happened. As is the normal process in these matters athletes who win medals or awards are stripped of those medals or awards. That is what happened here.

Mike is correct that all the Essendon players were let down by the leaders at the football club. That's not in dispute.  However, the players have to take responsibility for their part and their part is simple. They let Danks inject god knows what into them without question. It is their responsibility to make sure they know what they take. The defence of "they told us it was safe and not banned" doesn't cut it.

Jobe's biggest mistake as captain was not to push back and question more, as Captain and leader of the playing group that was his job. But he like the rest of the Club hung off every word that the great Messiah Hird said and didn't question him

Finally, in fairness to Jobe, he is not one pushing this nor does he bring it up year after year. He has moved on it is a pity the media especially those at the HUN left it alone and moved on as well

So is Mike also campaigning to have Lance Armstrong's titles reinstated?  No, & why is that?  Because Lance was (& still is) a drug cheat.  The punishment is obvious & deserved.  Jobby was (& still is) a drug cheat & the same applies to him.

Also, what happens to Cotchin & his Brownlow if Jobby is to be reinstated?  Is Cotch to be deposed of the medal that he won without cheating?  Is that fair?

If we want to throw shade at anybody over this whole debacle why aren't we taking an aim at Dank, Weapon & Hird?
Punish the guilty as they deserve to be punished, but leave the innocent out of it!

Zaharakis has a phobia towards needles (scated of them) so he opted out. That's what saved him. He didn't actually push back as such.

Regarding Cotchin and Mitchell's medals. Mike wrote that they should keep theirs and there be 3 winners with an asterisk explaing why 2 of the 3 finished 4 votes behind  the other winner

I read the full article this morning.

Simply Mike is delusional on this. He harped on that there is no evidence that they took banned substances. Again what Mike others forget is there no proof they didn't. He then sooks about how could the World Arbitration Court get a totally different finding to the AFL Tribunal ...

Well Mike That's pretty simple .... see my post above. Rather than writing sooky la la nonsense do your research on how anti-doping laws work in world sport and you will understand the whys and how's. You don't have to agree but they are none the less the RULES ::)
