Extended squad named for trip west
The extended squad is in for Richmond's Round 5 trip to Perth.

Richmond has selected its extended squad for Sunday's clash with West Coast at Optus Stadium, with four Tigers added to the mix.

Valuable utility Liam Baker is set to return to the line-up after serving a one-game suspension for rough conduct in Round 3 against Sydney.

Hard-running defender Hugo Ralphsmith is a chance to be named for his first senior match of the season after strong form in the VFL Tigers' opening two wins.

"Hugo's in super form and the way he has approached his footy lately is a real credit to him," Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris said of Ralphsmith recently.

Ruck recruit Sam Naismith, who has now been named in the extended squad for the past three weeks, is a chance to be recalled, as is wingman Sam Banks, who was omitted for Round 5.

Coming out of the Tigers' line-up is midfielder Jack Ross due to a foot injury.

Richmond will confirm its final Round 5 team on Friday night at 5.00pm AEDT.

The Club will then name its substitute 60 minutes prior to the first bounce on Sunday.

Sunday's game will be broadcast live on FOX FOOTY and Kayo Sports.

Might be a horses for courses option as a sub. Weagles are one team that physicality is not an issue. His pace might be helpful late in the game. Then trade him to them at the end of the year for a second rounder and he can replace that Ex Dees tranny Hunt
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

A 2nd rounder for Hugo?

Not a chance

Not a chance

Why not WP

So far we are getting an end of first round for Short, a late second round for McIntosh. A second round for Hugo is fine. We are also getting 12 first rounders for Lynch and 16 first rounders for Dusty.

And the same list managers will crack the poos if we offer a first rounder for a gun.
