Going by the magoos Smith Ryan and once again Naismith in the bests.
Ryan kicked four and was fairly decent the week before. so lets see if some of it can translate to seniors this time around.
Just reward Naismith with a game and lets play at least one goal kicking small fwd in Cumberland.

Throw Kossie into defense to Replace Young. Grimes will have to play third tall. Smithy to hb lets see what he has to offer instead of Short.

Vlastuin - Miller - Grimes
Brown - Kossie - Smith.

Rioli - Hopper - Broad
Nankervis - Martin - Sonsie

Campbell - Lefau - Bolton
Naismith - Ryan - Cumberland

Baker - Graham - McAuliffe - Mansell/Rioli.
Banks.

Roll both Rioli and Broad up to the wings allowing us to dump McIntosh and Pickett enough is enough.

Mids well hopefully Hopper is fit Dump Dow. Persevere with McAuliffe and ffs play Dusty in the midfield with a weeks break there can be no excuses about carrying injuries.

You’ve mentioned Cumberland as a goal kicking option and yet he’s only bagged 3 goals in 3 reserves games….
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

27 goals in 18 games at senior level would indicate he’s a goal kicking option

MRJ - 22 goals in 32 games

Mansell - 14 goals in 37 games

So yes, it’s fair to say he’s more of a “goalkicker” than the other small forwards

Yeah but he drops his bottom lip when things don't go his away, abuses his team mates, doesn't chase and is always looking for frees and complaining to the umps - I mean it's not like any of our most succesful forwards of the recent past ever did those those sort of things.... :shh

The Dees midfield must be having sleepless nights knowing they are coming up against Thomson Dow in a few days .

Richmond's injury-hit squad has seen them turn to a League-high 10 players for at least five centre bounce attendances this season.

You gotta wonder what the coaches are saying to take our best defender of the last 5 years in Grimes and a successful if limited skill wing in KMac and turn them into rubbish and to top it off take our best kick out of defence in Short and have him skying crap after crap.

From the outside it looks like they've lost the old guard. That's not a great coaching record there vs Chris Scott at Geelong inheriting a successful team and list and making it work. Or what's Fly did at Collingwood or GWS and Kingsley or Longmire at Sydney. None of them lost their old guard.

Grimes decline has nothing to do with coaching. Kmac is just playing like poo but still playing the exact same role and position he's always played. And well Short is obviously best used in a decent side which we, currently, are not.

Yes, but Syndey Sweeney could be a good option for morale.

What about Pickett, just poo too?  It's quite a few that have dropped off.
