The new Richmond name Tasmania is looking to poach for key football department role

The Tasmania Devils are looking to poach well-regarded Richmond GM of football talent Blair Hartley to be their inaugural list manager, according to Sam McClure.

The 3AW Football news breaker also saying the talk around the AFL’s 19th team being ready to play in their new Macquarie Point stadium by 2029 is “fanciful”.

“My understanding is Richmond is headhunting Blair Hartley,” he said on 3AW.

“They need to get a CEO, they need to get a list manager and they need to get this thing rolling.”

So Richmond is head-hunting someone they already employ

So no wonder Sam cops so much criticism for his ..er...ummm..journalism

  • RWNJ / Leftist Snowflake - depends who you ask....
Good - he can stack their side with hbf's, pay overs for injury prone blokes clubs wanted to get rid of anyway and give away fringe players for free... :shh

Puzzling that situation Balme was demoted and now end of year has been made redundant and not his choice either.

From memory, balmey said it was his decision to pull back a bit to allow the others to be promoted so they wouldn’t be poached by rival clubs.

If only someone had poached them. We’d be far better off now. No way Dimma would have been able to bully Balmey into taking Taranto and Hopper.

Balmy was pushed out the door. He was left out of the recruiting process of Yze.

Who knows how he was treated in the 1/2 years before that by BH.

He was "pushed out the door", you know this because? He told you perhaps? Or you're just giving your opinion to suit your narrative?
