Maybe we didn’t leak, someone close to the successful or unsuccessful candidates could’ve done that.

And which supposedly imfamous comment would that be Frankie?

Over the last 7 odd years there's been very few leaks apart from those the Club wanted leaked (all Clubs do that and play that game) but it would seem that maybe old bad habits are creeping back in with the changing of the guard.

But whatever....

Not sure about this appointment.  Would have preferred an external appointment.  Very happy to be proven wrong. Agree it is a very important  appointment.

Sometimes a club can't win
Appoint someone internal and its like, we should've gone outside
Appoint someone external and its like, we should've gone internal

Gotta trust the process.

I don’t think anyone has said “we shoulda gone internal” here at any point

Nothing wrong with internal appointments in general however in Richmond’s case they seem to have gone down this route at every possible instance lately with avg results at best. Just comes accross as a penny pinching exercise.

I know for a fact one of the candidates wasn’t told who was appointed, just that he wasn’t

So it isn’t an unsuccessful candidate .. rolling emoji or not

I think the trend of appointing from within is a risk. It feels like we’ve been taking a swig of our own bath water while the rest of the competition has caught up and pulled away from us.
Do we have a p&l from aligned leisure? Revenue and staffing have been touted but bottom line growth in % and $ tell the true story.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

We are current last,  lacking in a plan, and we appoint an internal that is very likely to continue with the current failures because it’s hard to fully self identify and criticise yourself. I would have preferred fresh eyes as we look stale at the club to me

Inducted into Hall of Fame today and surprised Benny. Unreal.
