Fair ins. Don’t love a fwd line with only Kosi as the target.

Interested to how they manage Prestia, Taranto, McAuliffe, Dow, Baker in the middle

Would've preferred Gray to Koshitski but whatever - hopefully this is at least an indication Yze's finally realised the folly of playing Balta forward and  taking him out of the backline... :shh

Let’s see where Kosi and Balta play. Kosi playing forward is a waste of a position but who knows how things will play out.

+1 I think it’s actually pretty pee poor for the club to wheel him out for socials and play him with only 10 mins in the game. Then drop him on that

Totally agree poor form to drop Smith. No need to drop him. Could have dropped Short and made a statement.

Also disgusted re: Smith.

Shockingly poor way to treat the kids.

Families would be disgusted as well and probably tell them all to look for opportunities elsewhere.

Feel for Smith but not surprised for the limited time he was on he was struggling with the pace of the game. Which is another reason why kids on debut should not be the sub

https://www.richmondfc.com.au/news/1571849/

Its like they know what the right structure is but are afraid to go all in because it involves youth. Are they reallt that deluded that they don't think a full rebuild is not required.

The tall structure really should be the following for this week just my humble opinion here., it's not rocket science.

FB : #### - Miller - Blight. We have clearly drafted a big ready to go tall defender  in Blight, so freakin play him there is nothing to lose.
HB: #### - Koschitzke - ####. We need to know what Kosi can offer as a kpd he has done okay in the role at vfl so lets try him there.
C:   #### - Taranto - ####. Thank god a small part of the cavalry has arrived.
R:  Ryan - McAuliffe - Prestia. Lets  see what McAuliffe can do with some genuine big bodied help around him.He absolutely has to start.
HF #### - Balta - ####. Not ideal like some tantrum posters i think his best role is back. Atm he is needed forward especially with no Lefau
FF #### - Gray - Bauer. They are young inexperinced and raw. at least they are tall and both show tons of promise. Good structure!!! hell yes.

Unlike the coach it is actually trying something different and we look at what talls we have in some cases in different roles. Cmon we are 1 win and way too many losses. why are we not going hard at playing kids and  finding out where they are at, and what they have to offer.
Why are we so reluctant at being just plain honest with a fair few senior players.
Why do we find it so hard to look long term rather than the dumb arse thinking of we just need one player or two to win another flag.
That thinking still permeates in the club and way too many supporters and it is killing us. We are not winning a flag this year or in the near future.
The list has a thousand holes in it and rebuild is the only way we can go yet we seem to be fighting this reality.

The best way to build is with consistent good structure and before a certain ten year old comes on here in a hissy fit that means for now Balta has to play fwd we need to be able to compete. Playing Ryan Gray and what ever kid we have in the forward half is literally throwing them to the wolves. At least Balta who i want back has played fwd and done a reasonable job.
If we are honest and brave enough to change our thinking on certain things LOGIC says with Gibcus coming back who is easily going to be our best tall defender, With Miller at last making strides If one of blight Bauer or even Kosi can make the step then the list and team needs DEMAND Balta plays forward.

 positional changes and exclusions.

Kosi for Brown. Kosi to play third tall and Brown goes to the bench where we can rotate him h/b and even try him on a wing if need be.

Blight for Balta. Real opportunity to play the new bloke who looks ready to go. Balta to chf no other option imo.

Smith for Short the most obvious thing, its unbelievable they dropped the kid and kept poos his pants Short.

Trezise for Ralphsmith. Again just a positional change these two can rotate on a wing or replace McIntosh what a hack. The lack of fumbles and better ball use makes Trezise a big upgrade.

Balta for Ryan Yep we have to play someone at least resembling a key forward. Play Ryan as first ruck

Ryan for Nankervis. Give Nankervis a spell and lets see what Ryan can offer as #1 ruck. Has to be better here than in the fwd half.
Keep nank fresh for Dusty's 300th.

Taranto for Baker. Our best inside mid freeing baker up for wherever we need him.

Rioli for McIntosh why we have not at least tried Rioli on a wing is beyond me. Yet we persevere with hacks there.

Balta for Lefau mobile athletes both. it just makes sense atm. its not always about what is best for a player but whats best for the club in a time of severe injury .Imo right atm  its all about finding  out what others have down back. Nothing to lose here and a lot to gain.

Campbell for Sonsie. A forward in Campbell plays forward and Sonsie plays as a mid as a part of midfield rotations exactly where he should be played.

Bolton for Mansell. Do i have to comment how we gave Mansell another contract should have everyone worried about some in charge. Our best small fwd and he kicks goals.

Gray for Martin may not be ready but hes a kpp and has shown some real promise adds much needed height and looks pretty mobile so no dinosaur.. Dusty well he is rested.

Bauer for Pickett a mobile tall who is strong in the air and moves well.Has to be just as good an option forward as Pickett if fit.

McAuliffe for Graham. Well Kane has shown himself to be a real mid, Graham remains ordinary!!!!. Lets find out what McAuliffe can do with some big bodied help next to him instead of having to try and do it off his own back.

Prestia for Dow. Give me a broken down Prestia on one leg over Dow

The long and the short of all that. 8 outs Pickett, McIntosh, Dow, Graham, Mansell, Nankervis, Lefau, and poos his pants.
The ins Kosi, Taranto, Bolton, Prestia, Blight, Trezise, Gray and Bauer with a few positional changes.
